Hello and welcome to the fourth Middle Earth Lego Olympics!
Now some of you might ask themselves:
Middle Earth Lego Olympics, wasn't last year's MELO supposed to be the last one?
Yes, that is true, but now the largest contest on MOCpages is officially back!!
You still wonder why and what's new? Well, here's our answer:
Last year, Ian Spacek, the founder of MELO, decided to finish the contest because he didn't expect to have enough time to run another contest in the future. But because of the contest's success and popularity, many MOCpages users missed it and some of them decided to ask Ian kindly to give the LOTR community headed by The Fellowship of the Brick his permission to start MELO again this year.
And as you may guess, Ian didn't hesitate to give us his permission! Thank you, Ian!!
The contest will still have the same structure as always (with only a few little changes).
This contest is modeled after Chris Phipson's famous MocOlympics. What makes it different? Two things: (1) all the categories are in someway centered around The Lord of the Rings and/or The Hobbit, and (2) this contest is one Round shorter than the official MocOlympics. If you're interested in playing, please head over to the RULES thread and educate yourselves. Thanks for your participation and best of luck!
