For each round, we will post a list of the pairings of contestants for those rounds. Each round, you must make the self-moc of your opponent.

How we judge:
5/5 bio
5/5 creativity!
10/10 build

Each round will consist of 7 days of building, then 2 days for the judges to catch up with judging.

If in any round your opponent forfeits or quits for any reason, you do not get a bye. You must still make their self-moc, and score better than the bottom 50% of contestants that round. (Basically, if your opponent quits and your entry gets a worse score than most other people, you're out too.)

The contest will start on January first, 2012. December will be for signing up, and perhaps getting new parts for the holidays :D

More info to be added later! The contest is still under construction! Check back here for updated info!

Here's some frequently asked questions!

Q: What if your opponent doesn't have a self-moc?
A: Their entry round will be to post a premiere of their self-moc.

Q: So what is the entry round?
A: If you do not have a self-moc, it is to make a self moc. If you already have a self-moc, it is to build one of the judges' self-mocs is a creative way.

Q: When does this thing start?
A: January 14. If you are still unable to build by this time, either make an entry before Jan 14, or you can't participate. Otherwise, please don't make anything until January 14.

Q: Can my entry be an update of my self-moc?
A: No, just post the update before the competition, and your entry round will still be a judges' self-moc.

Q: Who are the judges?
A: Me, Overlord Galaxus, Legofreak, Super Pikmin, and Vored. Namely, the admins of the group.

Q: Can I choose which judge I make?
A: Yes, pick one judge's self-moc to make in a new creative way. The creative part is important.

The first of January might not work for a bunch of us because most winter breaks end january 3rd so that only leaves a few days to build which will be during school days....

So the entry round is just a random moc that will decide who plays off against who?

No, we're still deciding. The entry round will only be your self-moc if you don't have one yet, and if you do, there will be a category.

Wait, so if your opponent introduces his selfmoc? What do you make? Shouldn't if be only if you have a self moc, you can join the self-mocoffs?

No, the entry round where a person may make their self-moc is the round to enter the contest. They will make a moc, and the top, say 64 builders (must be a power of 2, tournament style!) get into the contest. This is where the person may introduce their self-moc.

No. There is an entry category, don't know what it is yet. If you don't have a self-moc yet, your self moc is your entry moc.

Well that would be pretty hard to choose from, plus pretty hard to top. I'll leave it at the judges, because a) we won't get the self-moc publicity everyone else who's competing will get and b) It'll be super cool to see all the different interpretations, like the entry round for mocOlympics.

I don't think you've answered this yet- have you guys decided how the matchups (for all rounds past #1) will be chosen?

And another thing- it might be a bit tricky to make a creative, original bio if you're making somebody else's self-MOC.

It will be random, but I'll try to make it fairer to an extent. Basically if I get a matchup that seems wildly unfair, I'll try again.

You enter by making a moc for the entry round. The top 32 or 16 people who get the highest scores move on to the next round. This is just a qualifier.
