what I did, for my rods is, find pics of small block Chevy V8s, and make it as accurate as possible at the scale. Then try to fit it in the car. Sounds easy but fitting it can be a real PAIN! Permalink
Are you after a generic looking V8 or something that looks like a particular brand/model? I'd be quite happy to upload some instructions for my V8s, but, are you looking for functioning LEGO V8s or just visual representations? Because mine are the later. Permalink
Quoting Ruud Stam
Alright, project revival. i've been tossing around the idea of making a set of MOCs under the moniker "V8 U". basically, i wanna showcase some techniques/blueprints/plans for making medium-scale V8s (or V-engines in general), including accessories such as belt drives, turbochargers, air intakes, etc.
now, i've got a few ideas lined up, but i wanna incorporate as many ideas and techniques as possible, so i'm looking for other builders who want to be part of V8 U as well. so, if you think you have something to offer, or have some good ideas or input, post here :)
I'vr expanded on your idea and created a group called 'School of MOC'. The group's goal is to kick-start the creative minds of the lesser experienced builder by providing them with handy tips, tricks, methods and instructions for small MOCs.
