Official Rules
 Group admin
The basic rules are as follow. The contest will start at approximately the 26 of March, and it ends on the 1st of May. If any creations are posted after 11:59 (EST) of the ending night, they will be disqualified.

As many entries as the person desires may be posted, but they must be of a mech or mech oriented build, the Moc's will be rated on a scale of 1-5 by the judges, the judges may have no preferences towards certain players.

If it is discovered that a MOC was Rated unfairly by a judge for any other reason other than a poor build, that judges will be suspended, and another will fill his place.

There will be 4 judges, 3 are the normal, and one for a backup. If any entries are not Mech or Mech oriented they will be disqualified. You may not start building until March 26th.

I would like your entries to Be clear pictures, no blurry or unclear pictures. The presentation will be judged as well. You can lose no more than 1 point for presentation, but if its a good Moc And Bad presentation, there went your 5th point. It will remain at four. If there are any questions regarding the rules, please ask them in the Official Rules Questions Thread.

These are the official rules, they may be changed later on.

Another addition to these is that the creations must be actaul Lego, no LDD. They also do not have to be purist, brick arms may be used.

to help clear up the points system: after much deliberation, we've decided to rank the competitors based on TOTAL points.

Now, I know that some people might think, "Oh, well then I'll just upload tons of entries and I can win."

That's not entirely true. First, you have to remember that you must build in ALL categories before you can make a second entry for a category. Also, we judges will be able to tell if anyone is just trying to run up their score by uploading tons of 1 and 2-point mocs, and we'll probably judge them much more harshly.

My advice: even though there is no constraint on how many entries you can submit once you have submitted an entry for each category, Try to focus on making ONE GREAT MOC for each category. Then, if you have time, and think you could do better in a certain category (after submitting to every category, of course) you can go ahead and try to do better.

Trust me. You don't want to try to run up the score by piling up tons of entries. it will not benefit you.

NOTE: this isn't meant to address anyone in particular, I'm just clarifying what will award you the most points.

yes, after looking over the categories, here's where we stand on size requirements:

the classic mech must be under 600 pcs

the gigantor mech must be over 600 pcs

it's that simple. no weighing, measuring, converting kg to pounds (are any of us european here, anyway?)

just go to your brick box and pull out 600 pieces to see what you have to work with. Or, easier yet, just keep a rough count as your build. as long as your mech looks to be over/under 600 pcs, you're fine. don't take them apart and lay all the pieces out - that's unnecessary. we judges know what 600 pcs looks like.

does that make everyone's life a bit easier?
