Quoting Architect of Vonthako

Typing sentences that people understand has something to do with it...

Hey... Mr. Architect, would you mind if you invited me into the Architect's Place? It won't let me join.

And this is the thread to ask me questions in...

How did you make the digital models? LDD?

Would you mind, when you have the chance, could you review the MOC I added to the pool?

~sigh~ For [no way it's gonna be] the last time: I do not use LDD. Go to my homepage, and you can read all about the programs I actually do use (I even provide links to websites where you can download them).

Oh. Ok. Thanks, Von'!

Hi Architect.
I have checked many of your C&C creations but there is not a SAM site yet.
Would you use a structure made with bricks, or would you use plates and panels?
I should be a 8-cell launcher able to hold missiles with 2x2 round brick with fins.
Its real use would not be for a SAM site, but the appearance would be similar.

Hi again and thanks for answering.
As you say, I want the launcher to hold 8 missiles -like an ASROC or a Sea Sparrow missile launcher-.

You are also right with the part you took from peeron.

I am planning 2 kinds of missile launchers.
A big one for surface-surface missiles (must hold 8 big missiles) and a small one for surface-air missiles (must hold small missiles)

I agree with you that plates and panels are better for:
-lighter structure
-smaller than made with bricks.

Thanks again!

On my latest MOC (the finished Battle for Moon Base Alpha), I am having trouble with designing. I have the original (WIP), redid it so it was no longer a battle, but a resort/spa, and now back to battle. I am having trouble with building design, and whether I should have a charge or just everyone on the battle field. The original was 15X32, the resort/spa 32X32, and now back to 15X32. Any suggestions? If you want me to I can post an updated WIP.

Yes, a link to a WIP would be great, as I am having trouble visualizing what you're trying to describe.

I'll have it up tomorrow.

First off, how do you get your inspiration. Games, movies, brain, every day life? I am having trouble thinking of something to build (within the reasonable limits of the bricks I am not currently using in WIP). Also, when will you continue reviewing mocs?

Hi again.
I am about to finish both missile launchers.
The small one holds 8 missiles whose dimensions are:
length, 6 "bricks" -cone 1x1, 1x1 round brick with fins, 2 1x1 round bricks, 1x1 round brick with fins and 1x1 round brick-.
width, 1x1 -with the fins it is 2x2 and fits inside a structure of opposite 1x2x2 panels.

The big one also holds 8 missiles, but these are larger:
length, 10 bricks, -2x2x2 cone, 2x2x2 round brick with fins, 4 2x2 round bricks, 2x2x2 round brick with fins.
This missile launcher is very bulky! It measures 18 studs in length, about 8 bricks in height and 18 studs in width.

I will try to make a LDD model prior to the real MOC photos.

I eagerly await your review of my Hunter!

I love getting critique on my things, because while a "Thats cool!" Is nice, it doesn't really tell what people liked about the build, or what I should improve^^

Hi! I'd like to say thanks for inviting me for the group! I have some questions to make you so expect challenging questions!

(I really should consult a shrink... I don't even know how to write shrink...(you know...that guy doctor who gains a lot of money with a couch and some blanc papers in his hand...))

Ok, see ya!

Hi again!!

In the end I finally built the SAM launcher.
It is a small one, only holds small missiles (1 stud wide in the body).
8 missiles inside.

Let´s wait till I post the pics of the "big brother", a huge SSM launcher.
