Quoting Heath 'kik36' Flor
Well I'm posting in this thread a bit after midnight, but the build made it in time. If the site wasn't dragging so bad it wouldn't take 10min to navigate. LMAO Here is my link:

Are you sure? Nobody really knows WHAT time it is in Arizona! LMFAO~H
LMFAO seriously. I never know since we're the only ones who don't participate in daylight savings. I had it posted to the group, just not linked in this thread.....Grrrrr.....I'll let Shannon and my group decide my fate. Farewell cruel world!! Permalink

And then there's Heath 'I'm gonna be a big old pain in the neck' Flor. His MOC is indeed dated to the 23rd. His official entry post here is not.
I'm going to let his groupmates decide Heath's fate. If you want to let him slide, go ahead and judge his entry. If you feel he should be DQ'ed, say so.
If even ONE person in Group E votes for disqualification, he's out.
Yeah man sorry about that. I was watching this movie tonight called Jennifer's Body and there's a nice little scene where Megan Fox and the other chick start making out and man it was definitely distracting!! Ummmmm well you know. LOL
I think that is more than fair, and I appreciate letting my group make the final decision.
Gentleman, I'm at your mercy. Please be gentle!! LOL Permalink
Rob Hanson -- 2.5 pts. Clever idea, but the build was a bit blocky and simple. Also, it's "Zuckerman" not "Zurkerman."
Stuart Delahay -- 4.5 pts. Good story, good builds, good pictures. The one segment of high-innuendo conversation kept this from being a perfect score from me.
Heath 'kik36' Flor -- 1 pt. I'm sorry, but there wasn't much of a build and the whole premise of the story was just a bit too crude and empty. I do say that your entry was posted in time, though. Permalink
Trust me, I'm almost as dissappointed in myself as you are. I even had the whole thing built and photographed, but unfortunately my family took an impromptu trip to the Rockies the day before I planned to post. I'll wipe the floor with y'all next time. Permalink
Flare, John and Tr3v0r - Tssk, naughty boys! Two of you are on my fave builders list so i know you can do it, it's a shame that you didn't. Go and sit on the time-out step and think about what you haven't done! I'll be sending a note home for your parents...
Rob Hanson - 2.5 points. It took some working out to see it was a giant minifig head with chef's hat and the magnifying glass making the eye look bigger. Clever idea for a film poster but for a 1 photo MOC i would hope for a bit more.
Ethan M - 4 points. Nice builds especially the little kitchen, bed and patio. Story feels like the pilot before a show starts though. Why does the poor guy feel he hasn't accomplished anything when he's been running a successful business for 20 years? What happened at the fateful 40th birthday party to make him want to take on the life of a detective?
Heath 'Kik36' Flor - 3 points. I want you to stay in - you did post in time. However, in a classic case of your reputation preceeding you, I expected more. Simple builds and in-jokes involving Leda, Hans, Bones, etc. are brawling in my mind with a tasty first photo and some genuine funny moments of my favourite - low-brow humour.
Ethan, thanks for the mark and I know which section of the text you mean - the 'meat' jokes. I wondered if it was a step past the (pretty low) line I had set for myself to force those ones in sideways (snigger) Permalink

The 40th birthday reference was supposed to imply that he was having a mid-life crisis and no longer felt like what he was accomplishing was satisfying (even though the cafe was thriving). Also, thank you for the score!

You earned the points and, yes, that would be the section. I'm not much of a fan of the innuendo-style humor to begin with, so that just seemed to go a bit too far... Permalink

You are going to post your build, though, right? Anyway, a trip to the Rockies would be way more fun than Lego building (not that I'm dissing Lego). Permalink
First of all, thank you to you guys for not ousting me right off the bat. I promise I will be more careful as to when I post the links. My scores for you are as follows:
Rob Hanson- 3 That is definitely a strange concept, but it is outside the box and I dig it! I was expecting a story, and it took me a bit to figure out what you did....but now i c wut u did thar! If it was more clear and maybe a bit more detailed it would have earned much more.
Ethan M- 3 I think your building is superb, but the story was lacking. I'm going to have to check out your other builds, as I see some talent that I'd like to keep an eye on. ;)
Stuart Delahay- 4.5 WOW, what can I say....you went all out my friend!!! One thing I would suggest is to not make the stories too long, as this one became a little bit too much reading part way through. Other than that, great builds, excellent scenes and photos! Permalink

That was my biggest worry. I had four pages of text and 33 photos to shoehorn in, but I felt I had pared back the story elements for a mystery to a bare minimum and my artistic integrity demanded I try for as many silly names and innuendo as possible ;)
Thanks to all for the scores. I'm glad that we progressed for posting and I hope that you all do well in whatever group you find yourself in.
