What would you all think of the idea of setting up a forced perspective contest? MOCs using forced perspective are hard to come by but often they look very nice, so a contest might help others to explore the benefits of forced perspective. I don't really know anything about running contests, though; so I would like to know what others think. Permalink

Sounds fun. What do you have in mind, like a vig, or diorama, or landscape?
Well, I'm not sure, yet. Having a contest just for forced perspective vigs would make the playing field more even for people with large Lego collections and people with small collections, but it would also be hard to fit really good forced perspective onto an 8x8 base. On the other hand, allowing large dioramas and landscapes would open up possibilities of some elaborate and impressive perspective techniques. So...maybe have a contest with a category for vigs and one for large creations - thats how a lot of contests are set up, anyway. We could leave a month for entries to come in and then have judging.
