as far as i know the best way to shoot a lego is by rubberbands hitting the brick. Another way is by using a lego hammer/firng pin that hits the bullet. But Maybe there are other ways? thats what this discussion is about. Permalink
The best way I have found is to use a firing pin, but you have to manually pull it back. Using rubber bands to hit the brick takes way to long to load and that is why I don't use it. Overall I think axle shooting guns like mine are great. they load in an angled trench and shoot great. Permalink

That's why my single-action revolver on youtube is so powerfull! Very simple, but a longe-range weapon! Permalink
a charging handle is pulled back, chambering a bullet on the way forward, and catching the rubberband and the trigger. The trigger is pulled, the rubberband is released and the gun has been fired. The process happens again. A magazine in this type of gun could easily hold 20 bullets, not be painful to load, and shoot very far, and accurate if the gun was a rifle type. I am currently working on a gun like this, except when the trigger is held down, a motor pulls back the slide, chooking the gun. Therefore you have a very far shooting, semi automatic gun with a large magazine capacity. Permalink
one i did when i started making these guns, was putting in baby fireworks in a barrel, you make sure i isnt able to fly away, out a brick in front of it, and fire, this thing could shoot at extremly far range, but was very expensive and bad for r legos...
btw is there a version of the 772 gun with a working trigger? Permalink

baby fireworks,,..must have shot like 200 ft lol
well ill tell you, i used knex rods after a time because i didnt wanted to lose my bricks always, and with sharpened knex rods (with tape on the back to fill up space) i was able to go trough 4 soda cans at 1 time, and then still flying away (the rod) it stopped when i used 5.
You know how my last babyfiregun was broken? the baby firework gone moving and my lego gun gone with it, it exploded, only 5 or 6 bricks were still able to use xD PS: can i join the ak contest with my rpk? Permalink
Another which I believe is the most powerful is hooking a bullet in the band, and then hooking that over a moving beam/ gear. Then pull the trigger. Look at my AR1LRS for an example. It shoots around 20metres! Permalink
