I don't really ever buy sets anymore... unless it's a good deal at a yard sale.... one time I got two lego friends sets (new) (yes, I know what your thinking, but they were only for pieces), a "klutz" Lego book, (new)
And a bunch of mixels sets.... (used) all for 2 dollars!

What was the really good deal?!?!

Five big bags and a couple base-plates for 25 bucks. There's gotta be around 500 pieces a bag.

No, whatever you identify as is your deal.

Just kidding that's (in my opinion) wrong and you are what the parts giver gave you. But we want no discussion of that here because then Tumblr would start leaking in and we'd be giving our Lego legal rights because they have a say too.

Anyways the point is I've bought Friends sets at the store so don't feel weird. :P

It was the "bunnys hutch" set, it had brick profile bricks in it (6) a carrot, yellow hinge pieces, and of course a bunny. So I was really excited about the pieces! :)

That sounds awful. If it was any sort of other creature that didn't have venom, I'd be fine. I'd just be grossed out, but spiders; you wouldn't even know if you were bitten until it was too late. Even if it wasn't harmful, you're still getting bitten unknowingly.

They were just like "there are several (five) us, we're safe." I told another friend about it and he said "but then they'd all get mugged!" If I were a thug with a gun, especially if I had friends, ten of them wouldn't be safe as a group.

Not everyone's a sharpshooter; most likely they'll miss everyone except for the first person that is within two feet radius at best. Traveling in groups is a smart way to go, even if it is just five people. Someone can get away and get help.

True, but I rarely ever shoot pistols, and I managed to do rather well at a Tactical Shoot (I think airsoft helped my accuracy). Also these people would probably freeze up at the sight of a gun.

Kinda hard to fail at Pokemon, though.
It's simple enough so children can play it.

In the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games you play as a human-turned-Pokemon in a Pokemon world.
It has a bit of a different play style than the regular Pokemon games.

I bought a lego set today and got ripped off! I spent 4(USD) on a lego collectible minifig, and guess what I get?! A stupid "banana truck guy from the grodd goes bananas set"!

I mean, he's cool and all, but I paid for a collectible one, if I wanted him, I would have gone on Bricklink a bought him for 2.50(USD)

Update!: our sets (me and my bros) have Actually been tampered with! There's a slice down the back, that was re-glued together. My brother is missing the plate for the minifig to stand on, and I have a completely different minifig altogether!

Think you're being ripped off? Come here!

When Series 1 of the CMFs released they were sold here for the equivalent of $2.75, but because they were so popular, they raised the price when Series 2 came out to the equivalent of $4.

Not convinced yet? When the Lego Movie series came out, they decided to raise the price for that series only to the equivalent of $5!

This is TRU, by the way. The official Lego store here (which finally opened last year) sells them for their actual price.

Also, how much does it cost to make 3 minifigs at Lego stores in the US? Here, it costs the equivalent of $12 which I think is a ripoff.

| July 30, 2016, 12:32 am
Before the official Lego stores opened here, my only source of Lego was the TRU about a mile from my house (I use US units so I don't confuse you guys). They sold things for ALMOST DOUBLE their actual price! CMFs cost the equivalent of $4, but the "almost double" phrase only gets amplified when you look at larger things.

Back when Ninjago was in (I'll write another comment about that fad), I used to by a spinner every week. They cost $9.99 in the US, but here you can buy them for the equivalent of $15. The Creator Expert sets, which cost about $150-200 in the US, can be bought here for the whopping equivalent of $300!

The only thing I can predict will happen is the prices go up because Expo 2020 is near.

(NOTE: This is TRU. The Lego store has genuine prices.)

As I said, Ninjago was "in" in my school, and especially my grade, in 2012. I was still in elementary school at the time. So, someone came up to me one day and asked me: "Do you know what Ninjago is?"

And before you knew it, I was already at a table in the cafeteria filled with Ninjago spinners, weapons, cards, and the like. Some people brought their entire collection to school with them! They were doing spinner battles, trading cards, trading weapons, and even trading minifigs!

Then, something happened. The biggest Ninjago collector left the school in the summer and everything was forgotten. However, the second-biggest collector asked me this in the fall: "Still into Ninjago?"

(By the way, I was the third biggest.)

I really don't understand why so many MOCers dislike Ninjago. It's a very popular theme, one of the longest running of the action themes, and the story wasn't half bad (so, for lego, absolutely fantastic). The only story I can think of that was better was G1 Bionicle. The sets are good quality, have some useful pieces, and there are useful minifigures. Sure, most of the sets are vehicles, and the TV show is horribly made (although better than Chima, Nexo Knights, or Journey to One), but it's a solid theme.

Update!: our sets (me and my bros) have Actually been tampered with! There's a slice down the back, that was re-glued together. My brother is missing the plate for the minifig to stand on, and I have a completely different minifig altogether!

So, stop all you annoying thieves! (If there's any reading this...)
What kind of a sketchy place do you live that people take the time to DO that? And if they're gonna steal WHY PUT SOMETHING IN THERE?
I've found plenty of empty/half emptied bags, but never a whole different fig.

Also don't complain about missing a plate. Those things are just an annoying reminder of how much Moola you've spent on them.

Did you hear that G2 got cancelled?
It was a shame, but they set themselves up to fail. They built a world with cultures in the old one, but here they just said "Aight we all here and we used to live in our elements but we here now so let's get to this MASKS Y'ALL and some Makuta Hatata for all your problem filled philosophies."

I like most of the story up until the ending (which I don't dislike, but thought it was a bit weak).
I'd like to see some prequels instead of sequels. There's a bookload of characters whose history could be expanded upon.

G1 or G2? Because G1's story was never finished; there was a lot more that Farshtey couldn't write before Lego discontinued the theme. As for G2, I haven't seen the ending yet, but I've heard it wasn't the best.

And prequels would be great for both. Particularly the Core War for G1 and the origins of the Toa for G2.

how much does it cost to make 3 minifigs at Lego stores in the US? Here, it costs the equivalent of $12 which I think is a ripoff.

I believe it costs 5 bucks a fig, but I've never been to a lego store so I don't exactly know. I've watched a few YouTube vids bout' lego stores, so not necessarily reliable information...

Kinda hard to fail at Pokemon, though.
It's simple enough so children can play it.

In the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games you play as a human-turned-Pokemon in a Pokemon world.
It has a bit of a different play style than the regular Pokemon games.

Yeah man, the sets seemed to be really stellar, but because Bionicle is such a story driven theme, when the story wasn't sticking, the sets then weren't selling because nobody knew what they were for and kids that did know didn't have much to build off of. They couldn't recreate much story and then you had all this prophecy stuff that forced characters to fulfill the story than let the characters move the story toward a natural conclusion.

I think perhaps that was a reason that I kept away from building, was cause I saw that everyone had new pieces and able to create better builds with them. I just felt so far behind and didn't want to continue spending money. :p

Never focus on that. New pieces are nice and all, but when you have plenty of pieces you know how to use well, you don't always need new pieces to make a great MOC. Plus, even though I don't use Bricklink often, I have made ordered specifically for some of the older parts. There are some great pieces that haven't been around for a long time, and will most likely not resurface.

I had all four wisdom teeth removed Friday at 11:30 AM. Only one was half impacted, the rest were all under gum. If any of you guys have or have ahd braces, the pain is just a little worse than when you first get them or when you have them tightened. Can't really eat much, chicken broth, mashed potatoes, apple sauce, jello, etc. but I finally won't have to worry about getting those bits of Tostidos, that always got caught, stuck in that back wisdom tooth. It just may be awhile before I can eat them again.
