I have been working on a patrol vessel for a few days, and I completed it earlier today. However, I am not completely happy with it at all. I have added a secondary layer on the flank, and I want to get the opinion of the inhabitants of mocpages and CSF on which looks better and what could be improved on both or either. To be precise, I want to request an opinion of the hive-minds that live at these two places.

I definitely prefer the tapered effect the extra layer gives the front. A two stud wide hull will also give you more options for adding inset details, should you choose to go in that direction.

I agree. The wider hull definitely looks better. I especially like what you did with that thruster.

I do not intend to add inset greebles; don't forget, when it comes to Imperial spacecraft, realism is paramount. I am not above bending a few rules, but I want nothing to do with starwars physics. Thus, RCS thrusters are the norm, and they are oriented to rotate the center-of-gravity, which I think would be just below the wing roots.
