It has been brought to my attention that a few nominations can't take place because the post was made before the cutoff of May first.
Attached below from the rules thread:
"Any moc (or person for the Newbie category) posted between May 1st of last year and June 30th of this year is eligable to win!"
Now, I am nothing if not fair and I truly see this as a democracy so I put it to you, the group members to vote on this. How lenient should we be on the dates?
On the one hand, allowing the dates to overlap a bit would let people get things in that were overlooked simply BECAUSE they were too new at the time.
But, playing devil's advocate, if we extend the date by say... a month, then why can't we extend it two months, or three... or more?
So I do understand both sides of the argument here. What are your thoughts? I really do want to hear from everyone and will keep my "vote" to myself for the time being. Should we extend the cutoff or keep the dates firm?
My vote is to add some leniency. I would give one month. As Chris stated, the newer builders from last year were too new to be known or to have made a difference last year. Whereas now, they have shown us some seriously nice builds! Permalink
