Welcome MOCers, to PO's first contest held on MOCpages!
After looking at the suggestions, the theme has been chosen:
Video game MOC!
Create a MOC that represents a character from a video game. It can be a vehicle, human, alien, anything as long as you can find it in a computer game.
The MOC should look like (at least inspired by) a video game character. Color scheme variations are allowed, but they'll cost you valuable points.
As for every Piece Out contest, the MOC must be at least 70% Technic/Bionicle/Hero Factory. System entries are NOT allowed and will be disqualified.
Standard Piece Out Contest Rules Apply:
No flaming/bashing opposing entries.
No inappropriate content.
No asking for votes and/or complaining.
One entry per participant.
Once something is entered, you may not take it back to re-edit.
Do not steal another person's MOC and post it as your own, doing so will result in banishment from all PO contests.
MOCs can be started once the theme is chosen. Anything older than that is not allowed.
Cut or modified pieces are not allowed. Use only the parts LEGO made. This rule excludes ONLY the technic flex tubes. Entries with any other modified pieces will be disqualified.
The deadline is set to be the 22nd of January. The contest begins now. You have 20 days to come up with a winning entry and become a moderator of the Piece Out MOCpages group.
I've got something coming. it's certainly not an exact replica, but I think I've conveyed the overall feel and look (and Intimidating stance) of my subject quite well. Should be good, if my photography can hold up to scratch. Permalink
A lot of my spare time gets eaten up by homework anyway, hockey matches on Saturdays take out the rest, and all that leaves me is 30mins - hour breaks every so often, which just isn't enough for me to churn out a solid design.
Incase you were wondering, I was going to be building Emile from Halo: Reach. Permalink
So... How many people are still around? I plan on photographing and submitting my entry today, but quite frankly it doesn't seem like there's going to be much competition (not to be arrogant, it just seems like everyone forgot about the contest). Who's still here? Permalink
I'm still here, though sadly I don't have an entry. I do have a few MOCs to post that I suppose I could use as entries if I came up with some lame excuse. A bit busy with other contests right now, and getting my mod position back in the PO group isn't a priority right now. XD Permalink
Thanks for entering, guys! I think we'll extend the deadline a bit more, maybe a week or two. I know a lot of people have resumed school since the contest was started, so it'd only be fair to give everyone more time.
If you're any of the ones who already entered, and wish to edit your MOCs a bit, feel free! Permalink
Hmm. I may have to gamble with the SMOT by making an entry, then changing it up once I know who I'm facing there. From there, two birds with one stone, or two contests with one MOC, if you prefer... :D Permalink
If you've made an entry, please post the link in the entry thread.
It'll make the judging much easier, not to mention that some points will be taken off from the final score if you don't do that :b Permalink
