In truth, I started very early, I remember my first ever LEGO set was the Space Buggy (set 886) and my dad had to "help" me building it (I was like 4 or 5 and this is one of the few memories of those years I retain).
I really liked LEGO, but I had very little to play with, so I never left the Rainbow Warrior stage, as a kid.
When I was 14 or 15, I felt I had outgrown LEGO, so I gave it all to an orphanage (I actually had my dad giving it away 'cause I really didn't have the heart to do it).
It was back in 2005, I had been at my current job for a year, and I was under a lot of stress, because I work in public transportation and I generally hate people.
An american contact of mine said that his campus counsellor adviced him to try LEGO as stress relief, and he passed that advice on to me.
I bought a City excavator, the Iron Condor from ExoForce and some kind of Bionicle lizard, because I had noticed that the Iron Condor had ball joints.
But I really got started in 2007 when I discovered LDD, which I used to make this http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/111399
In 2009 I discovered MOCpages, but by then I had moved to Bionicle because of my old passion for Action figures, and I liked how much my Giants impressed the kids here. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/98159
Things like that started a trend here on MP and now there's even a 160cm tall Bionicle, built by my fellow Italian Antonio Carrubba.
After a while, I got tired of separating LEGO System from Bionicle, and decided to use both, which I keep doing to this day.
Recently, the lack of a proper building space has been forcing me to post only smaller builds. Permalink
