well from what i remember zach told me that it was around 2000 feet long a ship double that size would be too impractical keep your ships at average size large ships would put too much strain on your resources and they would be to hard to mass produce. Permalink
Wolf, Defiance is THE LARGEST carrier in the game with a length of 1720 feet. Much longer and you will have no cruising speed or turning radius. At that point, you'd be better off building a rig base platform (mobile sea airstrip). The Defiance's runways are 1350 feet, long enough to take off even a non-carrier aircraft using the CATOBAR system. Permalink
I actually have one Mobile Sea Airstrip under construction along with the Naval Defense Platform I propose. It will be posted by either later or so fourth. (I need to add alot of good detail for it. I could send you a file of it). Yeah I think my Neptune supership will be the only largest in the fleet (It's supposed to be a large mobile base platform housing helicopters and under it it can house submarines it can be seen on my photostream on flickr). Anyways I need to get on my new battleship program adrift and build new carriers for the sake of naval defense. Also I need to get my ground forces build up and running starting with a tank project I'm having a bloody hard time with.
Most of your stuff is oversized and underarmed. More guns, smaller package. Thats the NCA doctrine and it has worked so well so far. I reference the Phalanx drones.
UPDATE: Send me the file for your tanks. I will see what I can do.
I also issue this challenge. Pick any of your ships to send me. I can near triple its armament, downsize it, and make something that should actually be feared on the high seas.
