is athiesm the same as christianity
Obviously not. While Atheists don't believe in anything superior, Christians do. Also, I believe we can't all be a cosmical coincidence, simply because: there are to many coincidences happening at once.
Refering to Islamism: it is pratically the same thing as Christianity. The only differences are: Muslims don't believe Jesus is the son of god; they have "nearly" obligatory praying/worshiping "schedules" and also, they have a different way of worshipping: by bowing to God, towards Meca, whilst us Christians (from my point of view), see every single church as a beacon to heaven for our prayers. If you classify all religions as the same your wrong. The reason there are different religions, are because each one has a different view on morales, beginnings, and gods.
I have attached a copy of the meaning of "Religion" based on Dictionary.coms translation
"a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs."
Basically, based on this definition, I could go so far as to say Atheism is a religion. Atheism said there is no god but still is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe. Normally including belief in a God, you don't have to believe in a god to have a religion. An Atheists code of conduct is laws set by man on Earth so you guys really are in a religion admit to it or not.
Again I feel that there is some pretty large stereotyping going on here. Not all religions are the same. As for Christianity and Islam, there is a huge fundamental difference in which the two disagree upon. Jesus as the son of God. They also have different morale laws, as well as practices that Christians will never, and have never done. Saying we are the same shows that a few people in the thread need to research their claims a little bit more before posting. (I am not criticizing, I am just saying that it is impossible to argue a point if both sides aren't contributing evidence, and proof of their claims. Permalink
There is Christianity and then there is everything else, which includes islam. The Bible does not support multiple ways to heaven, there is one way, through Jesus Christ, who died on a cross for the sins of every person to ever live. "No one comes to the Father except through me" now why would Jesus say that if it weren't true, because Jesus doesn't lie. Maybe, just maybe he means he is the only way (only meaning the lone single way).
Why should we bother being Christians if any religion gets you to heaven, what is the point of enduring persecution and to not repay evil, when you could join islam and kill everyone who offends you. "If they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them" (taken from the koran). The religions are completely different, and I am embarrassed to see this at a "Christian" group.
