The games will be played similar to a ancient gladiator fight...with single elimination rounds, where two competitors will be pitted against each other.
The first round, however, will consist of a free-for-all round. Round 1 will begin on Sunday, September 29th and will last 12 days, ending on Friday, October 11th at 11:59 (EST).
Depending on how many competitors enter the Games, 50% of competitors will be eliminated (at the end of Round 1).
The other 50% of competitors will then begin Round 2 where PvP (Player-versus-player) battles (or match-ups) will begin.**
Round 2 will begin on October 14th and will last 10 days (October 21st) the players with the lowest scores in each of the PvP match-ups will be eliminated, but the two (2) players with the lowest scores will be entered into the Redemption Challenge (see below).
After each round, the tournament tree will be updated showing the remaining contestants.
Depending on how many people compete, starting in Round 4 (if we have that many) there will be a Redemption Challenge where the two (2) contestants with the lowest score (from Round 4) will be pitted against each other in a "moc-off" with the person with the highest score of the two being allowed to stay in the BrickBattle Games.
