MOCpages just went down for the third time in four weeks, in the middle of multiple treaty discussions. Basically everyone here has a Flickr already (get one if you don't). Flickr has comment formatting, an equal-quality group layout, private messaging, no give-away activity bar, and is unhackable. There'd be no need to switch old units over to Flickr- just keep the links to MOCpages, and for the few times we need to study units, MOCpages links will be good enough.

I would like to propose a motion to formally switch to using our Flickr group, https://www.flickr.com/groups/divide_and_conquer_4/. If we do decide to move, all an admin has to do is start WOD&C, War, Questions, and NN threads and copy-paste the top comments from the threads that need them.

Hi.

As you might guess, I vote for moving.

I'm on-board. MOCpages has a lot of nostalgia, but it simply can't compete.

I would gladly set up the group tomorrow, all you need to do is promote me.

Yeah, let's switch.

I think we're just missing Jack, Wolf, Christian, Squid, and Petrolhead for this. Everyone else has voted yes.

"Promote" =/= "Where's the group?"

OK, so McCall- next time you're online, I need you to go to the Flickr group and start the following threads:
-NN
-War thread
-WOD&C
-Questions

and promote Nightmaresquid and Brick to group admins. Can you do that, please? After that, we can start locking the less-active threads here.

All the necessary threads are up on flickr. We should be able to move over once all the promoting and such is done.

What timeframe do you want for "promoting?" If we add links to Flickr in all the threads and lock'em down, I don't see any reason to stay here.

I think the promoting is done (at least I think, if something is wrong please inform me).

Since the Flickr group is set up and running fine, could one of the admins please lock the other threads in this group *except maybe the WOD&C argument*? Thank you!

That argument it's done, any attempt to restart it will be ignored.

Is D&C coming back to MOCPages? I severely hope so.

Just use your email to use flickr. It's simple.

I've had Flickr for a dew months now, but it got hacked in September.

Maybe. Well, since then, the game has turned into a massive cold war between a German not-Nazi empire and the Tri-Force alliance, and everything is currently in the process of imploding.

Yes the waistline of the Murican president has reached size equator. Upon reaching critical mass his body has begun to collapse in on itself and a reverse girdle has been employed to prevent a full implosion which would form a black hole and destroy Terra

Between February and May, depending on when 4 gets wrecked or boring. It's looking like a fantasy/steampunk/any wierd theme you want game, right now.

Steampunk fantasy sounds good too!

well, I voted for Future (2100 or halo era), near future (70-80 years) or modern (10-20 years) and for future eras, have hyperspace generators for stargate SG1/Atlantis or Mass Relay for Mass Effect trilogy

Wow... Why do I need to enter my mobile number to create my account!? If I forget my password I can just give them my email!

It's stupid, right? My account got hacked, and I can't access it, because I have a new phone, and it won't let me verify my email.

Flickr is a pain to access first, but then it ever logs you out which is nice. Photos uploads have been made quicker, you can even have your mobile message you about activity on the go. It is worth it, although I miss MOC a bit.

I miss mocpages too, but the fact that Flickr allows easy uploading of much larger photos and is much more reliable has unfortunately made MOCpages obsolete.
