Krickarr bolted into his small home. He grabbed the essentials in a mad panic. Every heartbeat felt like a punch in a chest. Boom boom boom. He grabbed his crystalline blue sword. Boom boom boom. The heart beats were a metronome to the moaning, screaming and roaring of the crowd off creatures galloping towards him. He looked around to see anything else he needed. He had no time. He sprited towards his door and stopped. He peered at his door and gave it a reassuring pat. It had served it's purpose well. Krickarr glanced towards the wave of Comers and saw them speeding up. He knew he was a goner if he stayed any longer. He spun around like a dancer. The horrible dance was timed perfectly to the heart beats and the ocean of death approaching. Krickarr had only one way to go. Back to Van'shu village. He groaned. Despite beating criminals, he hated the village. His aim was to bypass the village entirely and try to make a go of Ha'shuan Village. There was probably enough corruption there for Krickarr to try and justify his violence that he will obviously cause at SOME point in the future. He continued his way down the mountain, his feet being buried in a thick layer of snow each footstep. At this point, the beating had stopped and the thunderous orchestra behind him had packed away. He was alone and the Comers were out of sight and out of mind for Krickar's case. He really didn't care where they went now. Krickar contently trudged his way forward until he spotted a figure in the distance. He pulled out his sword. He was about done with the days events. All he wanted to do was get through Van'shu and get out, and if this figure tried to stop him in anyway, he wouldn't resist (or even regret) attacking him. He clutched his metal weapon harder as the distant agori's staff and small rahi came into vision...

Derak: *Whistling*

Kiki: *Begins growling*

Derak: What is it Kiki? What do you see? *Scans his surroundings, and sees a figure off in the distance, further up the mountain*
Could that be... Krikarr! *Calls out loudly* Krikarr! I am Derak, I come from Van'Shu Village! The Elder One has sent me to ask for your help! Please listen!

Krickarr approached Derak with distain in his eyes. His sword was raised higher and he pointed it towards the smaller Agori. He squinted his eyes and noticed he was but a couple of metres away.
"How do you know my name?!"

"How in the world did that thing get past the guards?!"
*Vos quickly snatches up his katana from his desk and rushes out into the street. He immediately spots the trampled Agori and the large, mildly intimidating lizards beside him. Vos walks over with a raised eyebrow.*
"So... I suppose you'll be needing a hand, yes?"

Ecore: Har har *Oof* *Vos helps Ecore up of the ground* Oog, Vos: What happend? Ecore: Well, I was coming down to your library, when all the sudden a giant four legged beast that was being attacked by Agori trampled me. Vos: Hmm... Ecore: Do you have any idea what that was?

Krickarr could feel a part of himself want this, to finally be able to sit back and have a proper life, a life where he didn't need to fear being taken away...
"What makes you think I want pardoned?! What else do you have to offer!?"
Krickarr, sword still outstretched at Derak, walked closer.

"What!? Beating criminals is bad!?" He knew the red agori was right. Attacking and murdering criminals was never for the benefit of the village, it was to get his violent tendencies out, he never cared about the agori. Krickar's hand began to shake. He was putting on a front to this agori. He didn't want to admit these things to himself.
"...Where would we even go?"

He stood, the crisp, cool air biting his skin. He could sense the heat radiating off of Derak. Krickarr knew he could trust him. If he did follow this fellow, he could finally redeem himself for the dispicable things he's done. He could rid himself of this past life and do something to help for once. He could be more than a raging psychopath who lives alone on a mountain. He deeply inhaled and, lowering his weapon, breathed out, "...Fine...Lead me down to the village..."

Krickarr, without saying a word, returned his sword to his back and glumly walk forward.
Derak: "Okay, I guess I'll follow you then. Come on Kiki!"
Kiki made an excited squeak and began crawling along.

The party had finally ventured down to the bottom of the mountain. Krickarr wiped the frost off of his face and rubbed his eyes. He wasn't sure if he had made the right choice. His whole world had been spun around and then again today. Did he make an impulse decision here. He could run whenever he wanted. His thinking was interrupted when a defensive outpost appeared into vision. All three of the adventurers continued walking towards the outpost when the deathly silence of the place became noticeably disturbing. Derak gasped and ran towards the outpost and Krickarr and Dekar's minute rahi friend followed close behind. Both looked around to see destruction and chaos. Bodies sprawled across the room and familiar claw marks and scratches were etched onto every surface. Krickarr knew this was a crowd similar to the one he had seen earlier.
"Comer's..." Krickarr groaned. Derak looked around and said "Well where are they now!?" As he made this statement, a terrible realization came apparent.

Derak: "They must be approaching the village!"

Garnu: Well my family is a little in debt to a gang so we can't afford to get any food.

After much journeying, a ragtag group consisting of a famed warrior, a Blood Knight, a stranger, a pool cleaner, a storyteller, an amnesiac skeleton, and a self proclaimed "Toa" arrive at Van'Shu village. Weary, (most of) the group expected to find a calm village to rest in, but are shocked to find the remnants of the recent Comer attack.

*Varak and Deralk dash ahead just behind Fotoh* "Wait for us, we wanna help on this situation, whatever it is!"

*Ramza dashes into the library, heading for the central vault. Just as he reaches the door, a voice rings out.*
Voice: "Hello."
*Ramza pulls up short, a strange sensation reaching him, a feeling as if his polar opposite has just arrived.
As indeed it has.
Qiav steps into view from behind a bookshelf nearby. His eyes are as piercing as ever, but they now glow with a light of recognition. A strange blue mist that rolled like ocean waves cascaded around him.*
Qiav: "I am Qiav. I remember Elysium."
*Ramza tenses, readying for battle. Qiav strides purposefully in front of the door; not as if he wants to keep Ramza from it, but simply as if he wants his full attention.*
Qiav: "I am a Shade. You are a Knight. Let us dance like our kinds did of old."
{OOC: For those of you who continue the story, Shades were made by the Makuta to fight the Knights of Elysium, although they are not inherently evil. They don't even necessarily dislike Knights, they just feel a compulsion to fight them.}

Ramza:...Not now.
*With that, the knight sits down on the floor and begins translating the crisps of scroll, writing in a thick, leather-bound tome he produced from under his armor.*

Actually I think it picks up on the "Qiav ____ his head" thing- you might be better off using another verb in future, just to avoid this whole thing :P

Krickarr and Derak bolted out of the outpost as quickly as possible. Krickarr had no idea what he had flung himself into. He was already regretting following this Agori and his strange small companion. Time flew past him and the city gates were already in view. The crew approached the entrance to the village. There, sat a small Agori bowing his head in respect to the returning Agori. It was then soon discovered that the man was not bowing, but rather, had his head slung down in slumber. The Agori jumped up and exclaimed as he was awoken by the group's footsteps. His eye's were glued to Krickarr as the guard reached for his spear. Krickarr got into an offensive position as the guard yelled "Hey! Don't you move anywhere!" Derak quickly jumped between the two brutish figures. In a panic, he exclaims "Please, the village is in trouble! We need to get to the Elder One" The guard seemed unimpressed. Krickarr rolled his eyes and said "There is a huge number of those white creatures heading here right now, and if you don't get out of our way, they'll kill us all!" The guard, still unfazed, states "Yeah, right, I'll trust the weird loner in the mountains that big scary monsters will come to attack-". The man's sentence was cut short as rumbling was heard beneath their feet. Krickarr's face was quickly changed from a look of anger to anxiousness. Suddenly, five Comers burst from the ground, flying into the air, throwing chunks of spinning dirt and gravel in all directions, allowing it to fall like rain. The Comers all fell back to the ground, covered in mud and dirt, with scratches and sword marks piercing their metallic chests. These were the ones that had slaughtered those at the outpost, Krickarr was sure of that. He also knew that these were not the last of the creatures, as more were sure to arrive to wreak havoc. Krickarr evaluated his options and decided that the guard would slow the Comer's down and give him enough time to get to the Elder One. He, almost happily, slid under a swinging arm of one of the Comers and ran directly down the middle of the gravel path with his sights dead set on the village. He didn't even notice he had left his companions behind him, and to be honest, he didn't really care either. Derak turned and saw Krickarr already making hasty work of running away, Derak looked back at the guard to see him shriek and shakily point his spear towards one of the beasts. The weapon was quickly thrown away by a Comer, leaving the guard defenseless. Derak was faced with a dilemma. Does he abandon the guard and catch up with Krickarr, or stay behind to save the guards life...

Krickarr was almost at the end of the pathway. He was determined to reach the Elder One and be done with this quest. His thought of once doing this to save people had been eradicated, and he now only wished to finish this quest so that he could return back to the mountains, alone, with no one to bother him and no one to force him to do anything. He turned to get another view of the mountains, only to remember the agori he had left behind, and noticed a number of warriors, big, small, strong, weak, all running towards the Comer's to save the guard and Derak. Krickarr was jerked into a sudden recollection of why he had started this quest. A life alone in the mountains was not worth living. A life where you are isolated from the rest of the society with no one to call you're friend and no one to help. He stood and stared at the battle that had just erupted and he just...watched. He was perplexed, how a fellow Agori can just go out and help others purely from the kindness of their heart, and for no personal gain. He looked down at himself. He was exhausted, not only from the days events, but exhausted with being the way he was. He slowly began walking back towards the group of fighters, and their violent dance, simply observing.

*Qiav whirls his way around the battle, felling beasts left and right. As he does so, a strange sensation of fierce joy overtakes him, and he bursts out with a savage cry. As he spins, ripping the chests out of three Comers, a maniacal grin spreads across his face, the first expression that face has made in a long while.

No, it isn't joy, however much it seems so. It is anger. An anger that filled him up with a fire that physically hurt, agonizing and intoxicating in equal measures. It thrills him, but also sparks a twinge of fear in the deepest part of his soul.

But he pushes this aside, dancing faster and faster, until that shifting blue mist begins to rise from the earth around him and swirl about him like a whirlwind. With the mist comes a new awareness, only for a split second, but enough to fan that ember of fear into a lick of flame.

His brothers are coming.

But even though this paralyzes his mind with terror and longing, he continues to dance.*

(Nah it's fine, I must not have noticed your comment or it was in moderation when I made my last comment so that's why there's a bit of inconsistency) you and Omega Tahu have seemed to get Krickarr out of the way already anyway. :P Right now he's kind of just an observer, watching what happens. (Actually, I've changed my mind. You don't have to worry about that, I have a new idea. Just know that any further mention of a white Agori with a bow isn't Krickarr.)

*Fotoh stares around at the trails of ash and salt that litters the ground, as he sits upon a silent and weary Apis*
Fotoh: "Well, that was certainly... unexpected... Hmmm... I do not know how these beasts were bested, but I am certainly joyous to see their demise... back in days long gone, this would warrant three days of revelry... but Ramza is still missing... do I return to the others or go after that proud knight? Hmmm..."
*Fotoh sits silently on Apis for a moment. He silently makes up his mind and gestures with his lance towards the mountains. The Gukk carries his master through Ramza's trial.*

Krickarr looks around at the remains of the battle, and a mighty battle it was! Bodies of these creatures strewn around the ground like popped confetti. He looked around to find the guard and Derak, to see neither anywhere. He assumed they had walked off somewhere and he didn't think about it. They would probably return to him eventually. Krickarr spotted two figures by the library and he approaches them. He is unsure of their identities for a while, but upon closer inspection, he noticed it was the Elder One, the one he was tasked with visiting. He approached the two and, disregarding any conversation they were having, strong-headily butted in. He reached his hand behind his neck and scratched with slight nervousness.
"What do you want?" Said the white agori. The two figures stood in confusion as Krickarr quickly realized he hadn't explained himself whatsoever.
"I'm Krickarr, you sent some guy to go get me...So what is it you want from me?"

Fotoh: *returning to the group* "Nothing. Ramza has covered his tracks well."
Vos: "As I've said time and time again, we're searching for the Comers' nest. Not Ramza."
Fotoh: "Ah, but Ramza also seeks the nest. Perhaps if we find him it will make our task easier."
*Qiav ignores this, glancing about for any sign of... well, anything. Out of the corner of his eye, he catches a glimpse of a white figure - a rather familiar one.
He jerks his head back to the spot, but the watcher is gone, leaving nothing but a peculiar sensation, like a breeze blowing across his mind.
He keeps walking.*

*Vos rests his hand on the hilt of his katana, eager to use it once more in battle. He shook his head and removed his hand from the blade's handle. Addiction to battle was a family trait, and he wouldn't be sucked into it like his family. His brows darkened at the thought before being interrupted by a strange sound. A sound that chilled him and aroused his curiosity. A slither of scales against stone.*
Vos: "Anyone else hear that?"

*Qiav freezes. A sensation of wrongness has just assaulted him. This was not like the past impulses he had felt; there was nothing akin to kinship in this. No, this was something evil.*

*Far to the north, Ramza trudges through knee-high snow, the blizzard raging around him. The cold does not bother him; the dead, like him, do not feel the elements. The storm made it difficult for him to see more than twenty meters in front of himself, but he could easily make out his target.

A small stone shrine, teal magic pulsing in its ancient stone, stood before him. As he drew near, the power of the temple nullified the elements, and Ramza kneeled down in the center of the shrine to rub warm water on his masked face. He lifted his helmet from his head, letting his breath form clouds in the frigid air. He looked at his reflection in the water, but did not give time to ponder just what he looked like.

Donning his helmet, Ramza waded into the pool. In the center, a stone rose from the depths, with a sword buried into the top. Ramza knew the sword would still be here. He himself had left it here; he himself had built this shrine, in a day years before his death. Reaching out, Ramza pulled the sword of bone from the stone.

Striding back out of the pool, Ramza turned the sword over in his hands. The weapon had been forged by a master blacksmith, carved from the bone of an ancient and terrible dragon, back when the island was not an island, but part of the greater mainland. His fingers danced across the carvings, circling around the gilded sapphire in the cross guard. Carefully, he slid the blade into a sheath designed solely for it that rested on his back. With that, he left the temple, returning to trudging through snow in the wilderness.*

*As the creature, greatly resembling a Comer save for its long, snake-like tail and large, glittering fangs, throws Erikku and his phantom guardian away, it turns and grips Fotoh's spear in its Agori-sized hand. It almost seems to smile and it then rips Fotoh from Apis' back and tosses him away like a rag doll. Vos swiftly grabs a jar of small, white salt and throws it at the creature. It shatters across its back and it hisses in confusion as it turns around, single blue eye narrowed in bemusement. Vos backs away, discombobulated by the creature's confusion.* Vos: "Why didn't that work?!"
*Vos leaps out of the way as the Comer strikes, swift as a snake.*
"Very well then, if salt won't humble you, mayhaps my blade will!" *With a gleam of savage joy in his eyes, Vos unsheathes his katana and brings it down across the Comer's thin neck. Vos blinks at the result.

Nothing.*

(The Comer swings its tail and slams it into Vos, sending him hurtling a good twenty feet. It makes a screeching chuckle, which is cut off by Qiav's claw slashing at its face. However, Qiav drops to the ground, bewildered, when his claw only leaves a superficial gash. He dodges a swipe from its clawed hand, but the creature swoops in before he can gather himself and darts its head in like a striking snake. Qiav falls backward, barely avoiding a ferocious bite, but as he lands, the Comer rears up and...
falls to the side as Apis charges it.)

Krickarr stared at the Elder One, not even noticing the other agori running off to the rest of the band of misfits.
"Ah...So you are Krickarr..." The Elder One says in awe. He is shocked by the width of Krickarr. He was fairly muscular, well, as muscular you can get, isolated away in the far off mountains.
"Where is the other Agori I sent you off with?" He asks, perplexed.
Krickarr shrugs with ignorance.
"Well...I have asked for your help against this whole Comer thing, and I had asked for the help of other heroes, who have just left."
Krickarr sighs a cold breath of air.
"So you want me to go after them?" Krickarr sighs.
"If that is what you must do to stop these things, then yes, you must follow them."
Krickarr's eyes couldn't roll further to the back of his skull. Despite the respect he had for their fighting skill, having to meet more people was aggravating to him. One Agori was enough! But he remembered why he was going to do this and ignored that side of himself. Krickarr once again opened his mouth.
"I'm still getting acquitted of my...eh...For my 'prior behavior'."
The Elder One was clearly unhappy. "Yes...You will be..."
With a slight grunt, Krickarr turned and wandered away, leaving The Elder One very confused by the entire interaction.

On his way out of the village. He turned his head to still see no sign of Derak. He honestly didn't care, but a piece of him wanted to at least tell Derak where he had gone. Krickarr reached into a satchel by his side and took a piece of leathery paper. He had no ink and looked down to see the bloodied carcass of a Comer at his feet. Krickarr winced as he smeared a finger over one of the beasts wounds and got a considerable volume on his index. He smeared the word "Krickarr" on the paper with an arrow pointing north. He hoped this would be enough to guide Derak back to him. Krickarr placed the paper on a wooden fence and stuck it in place with an arrow. Krickarr stood back and deeply inhaled, then quickly spun and made his trek back towards the mountain, brushing his finger on his leg as he went.

(Vos gets to his feet, anger blazing in his eyes.) Vos: "Foul beast!" (He mutters, hate in his heart. He watches the Comer shriek, blinded by Apis' strike. He smiles savagely as he charges the Comer, his katana flashing in the sunlight. Vos leaps into the air, slashing his blade across the Comer's chest. The Comer trembles from the blow, and there is a black mark across its broad chest...

Almost like a burn mark...)

Fotoh: (Eyeing Vos' and noting the burn mark) "By the Great Beings! I fear there may be more to this little librarian than meets the eye..." (To the other Agori) "TOGETHER, MY BROTHERS! WE SHALL TOPPLE THE BEAST AS ONE! FORWAAAAARRRD!"

Krickarr trudged through the thick sleet. He didn't enjoy having to return back to this mountain. He thought he was finally moving forward, but returning to this place didn't help. The whole day has felt so long, but the footprints he had left going down the mountain still remained imprinted on it, like a black mark, taunting him, showing him he couldn't move forward, always had to go back. Krickarr turned his head and continued on.

Krickarr's eyes had been glued to the footprints left by his peers in the snow for a while now. His eye's suddenly became unglued when the snow thinned out and suddenly, the footprints had disappeared. Krickarr groaned. He was never good at tracking. He looked around to find any trace of the other Agori, but alas, he had gained nothing. He evaluated his options and didn't know what to do, does he go back to see his cave home and see if it is still destroyed? Does he return to Van'shu village and look for Derak? Does he-
His thoughts were cut off by the familiar scream of a Comer. He jerked his head towards the sound and once again it screeched it's hellish scream. But it wasn't as familiar as he first thought. There was something different about it. He wasn't long starting to sprint. He swerved past trees and dirt, all scraped and dug up by presumably this creature. He finally saw the animal come into view, surrounded by other Agori, being stabbed, sliced, cut, brutalized, mutilated. Only, it wasn't, each grizzly attack seemed to do no damage to it, except for an obvious black mark across it's chest. Krickarr grabbed his ice-blue broad bow. The icy smoothness stung his hand slightly, he reached behind his back and pulled a long, pointed arrow and put in place on his bow. He pulled back the string and stood for a while. He knew that if he released this arrow, he would be in for the long haul, no going back, no more loneliness and no more second thoughts. These agori would now need to be his companions, whether he liked it or not. He squinted his eyes, the frost crinkling away off his face as he did and he swiftly let go of the arrow, which now flew towards the Comer. He watched intently to see the finishing blow be dished to this beast, only to watch as the arrow ding off the things head, only angering it, and depressingly see his wooden and steel projectile plummet to the ground.

"You have to be joking me" He moaned, as he took his metallic sword out and ran towards the beast.

(Qiav rushes in for a tenth time, leaping high to score yet another scratch to the Comer's face. It screeches, and whips its head back, sending Qiav hurtling through space.)
Fotoh: "Take THAT, you foul spawn of..."
Vos: "AAAAARGH!!!!"
(Qiav watches with some bemusement as Vos races forward and slashes brutally at the monster's chest. It shrieks, knocking the red Agori back as it whips its tail at the ghostly titan protecting Erikku. Arrows bounce off its bone-white armor from the frost-white Agori standing some distance off.)
Erikku: (smashes into a tree, followed by his guardian) "Oof. I hate this thing."

(Far from the current fight between the party of Agori and the new Comer [heh, newcomer] Ramza watches as the flesh of one such beast explodes outwards from where his fist pierced its shell. He would have loved to study it, but time is a precious thing that should not be wasted. However, he did spare a moment to stare at the remains of its exoskeleton.

He picked up one of its armored plates, rapping his knuckles against the material. It vibrated back, almost mocking him. He tossed it aside. If he could simply punch through it, it was too weak to be of any use to him.

Over the sounds of the howling winds, Ramza could faintly make out a shout. He cocked his head, focusing on the sound. There was definitely a fight nearby. He looked back at the corpse of the Comer he killed. If he had to guess, the fight involved another of these, and his own tremendous strength was belying that of the beast.

He inhaled sharply, and the frigid air brought with it a familiar scent. He smiled. He had met this group of Agori not too long ago. And there was that one in particular.

Ramza frowned at the name. Qiav. Why was it so familiar, yet so distant?

The knight shook his head before sprinting in the direction of the fight.)
Ramza: "Very well, my comrades. After this diversion, you shall come and explore the ruins of Zanarkand with me."

(The battle fares badly. Erikku is struggling to rise to his feet, Fotoh is no longer scoring hits, and even Vos is falling to exhaustion. Qiav continues to swoop in, but he isn't making any lasting impression.)
Vos: "You... won't... harm... any..."
Fotoh: "Wait a second! A stranger approaches!"
(But Qiav knows exactly who is coming. The mist begins to seep out of his pores once again, and he grins for the second time this day.)
Qiav: "Hello again, Knight."
(He then charges the comer, thrusting his gnarled claw at its chest. It hurtles backward, a sizable dent in its armor, moving directly toward the silver and black figure on a nearby ridge, holding a brand-new sword.)
Qiav: "Care to join us?"

Krickarr looks down at the knight's bloodied palm. He felt like not shaking it, but decided against it, as ignoring a simple handshake sure isn't a good first impression. The two slapped their hands together, making a slimy squish and exchange a firm shake. "I'm Krickarr..." He says, flicking blood off of his hand, "I don't think these people are in my group though...At least not yet."
Krickarr thought for a moment then slightly rotated his body, to seem like he is addressing the larger group and continued talking.
"I want these Comer things off of this island as much as you all do. I have been asked by the Elder One to help you fight off these beasts...So I'm part of this group now." Krickarr still wasn't very good at talking.

Ramza slaps Krickarr on the back, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he is only further coating Krickarr in Comer blood. "Well then, if you are all intent on following me, then we shall travel together."

Ramza pulls out a scroll from his armor, holding it for all to see. "Back in the days of the old Empire, the Capitol over this region was in Ha'shuan. However, the Makuta invaded from a place known as Zanarkand." Points at a place off the northern shore, near Terengua village. "It was during a siege of that place that I was struck down, and I intend to return there to hopefully uncover why I am still alive. And if there are any of the Makuta who destroyed the empire still there-" Ramza rolls up the scroll and tucks it back in his armor, "then I shall smite them."
