In making bionicles over 20", I try to visualize my conception first before even building it. I start with the head, then the body, the legs and finally the arms. I then "fix" it to make it more stable and articulate as possible which is probably the hardest thing to do. In building bigger MOC's, for me, its be to make the upper body light weight so that the legs can support it. I think Lego did not design their parts to make mocs taller than 20".

Also, I don't like using just the mask of an existing bionicle as a head without any modification. I prefer to make heads as original as possible to make the giant moc as distinct as possible.
