Ball joints and G1 hand/connectors are very useful (my Toa use a lot of each). The original Kakama is a really nice looking piece as well.

by metru hands I assume you mean just the regular hand pieces they made before they redesigned them for 08?

Mata Feet are also rather useful, I often use them for Matoran torsos.

And let's not forget one of the most important class of parts: Axles and Pins. You wouldn't get very far without those. =P

We should make a contest sometime where the participants can't use axles or pins Y_Y

I did too :(, lucky i still have a heap of hand connectors! Another problem I have with ball joints that some of them are weak on both the inside ans outside so not only do the fall out off the axles sometimes, they also don't hold the moc up.

I frequently use the two-thirds pin one-third axle and three-long pins.

I also like the Hau. :P

That's when you have to reinforce them.

I would use those a lot more than I do if I could, but I usually try to find substitutes as much as possible, because the pin section lacks friction, which is really important to me. Same with the two part axle one part pin piece.

Pistons, friction adders, or multiple joint connections like on black phantom or fire lord.

Or sharpie. That works really well too on the balljoint aspect of the piece.

Ah, thank you! I have quite few pistons but they are hard to implement on there scale I usually build at. :( I have a ton of friction connectors, both the CCBS and Bionicle versions.
