I think this is a good question: What turns your attention regarding Bionicle mocs?
By us answering to this individually, I think we can help one another to know what attracts people, and help less-known builders gain some favour, as well as increase the variety of bio-mocs.
On my part, I'm attracted by dragons, beastial mocs and new interesting designs/solutions. Humanoid isn't that much to my liking, however some titans and full custom characters make an exception. Permalink
Lately I've been more into designs than builds, alhough impressive builds still kinda grab my attention (but no, just an entirely custom build by itself won't). As a matter of fact, I think the thing that attracts me most about a MOC is how well-designed it is, in general terms. Wich is funny, because I used to care more about the build, but them I realized it doesn't require just technique to make a good creation. Permalink
Technical complications that leave me head scratching at how they built it. Hard to find those unless they're pointed out. Attraction on first glance would probably be a non conventional shape of the creation. If it was a vic viper perhaps a clean appearance and creative use of greeble details. Permalink

Any new or interesting designs, consitent use of pieces and colours (appeals to the eye). It does't really matter what kind of moc it is, but the less common the more attention seems to be the general rule.
Personally I like the look of evil and beastial or part-beastial mocs. In my opinion bionicles just work better in creating villians rather than heros.
Any moc of any size and theme that I feel that gives an impression of quality, creativity and originality in terms of presentation, moc build, etc. However, I am very particular in mocs that build custom head in their creation. Permalink
You live in Christchurch right? I heard that there were more earthquakes wrecking up the place :(
Hope you're all ok over there..
Yeah, I'm fine over here. Not really wrecking up the place, just adding more concern. Though, the aftershocks have been annoyingly frequent. Thanks for your concern though, hope you have a more stable Christmas and New Years lol Permalink
