Hi new to the group. Im looking for some tips on building hardsuits. i have atempted this at least 10 times with out much success. The only MOC i've ever posted of any of my hardsuits was Shockwave. I think it was terrible. But all i need is some tips to get me on the right track.

first off, the shockwave is HUGE, tone the size down a bit. do you want it to hold a whole minifig or just the head poking out the top? for a whole minifig, make the torso first so you can build around it. then you need to make a stable set of legs. you can make arms if neccesary, but they aren't always needed. weapons should be last. pretty much the only kind of mech i build are hardsuits, look at some of my stuff, the folder labeled "AT hardsuit" are human stlye, and the "project tiny titan" folder has more mechanical hardsuits in it. i hope they help.

Start with a head, build the body for it. Then add arms and legs. Think of proportions. Look at pictures of humanoid suits for hints on how long body parts should be, like how much longer a leg should be compared to the arm.
