My favorite Lego® set has to be the set Café Corner! I liked this set because of it's modular properties, and in interesting thing about it...hmmm....It's gotta' be the piece use. Very clever indeed! I'll give it a 9/10!

Powerboat Marina from 1994. Came with two powerboats, a sea plane, speedboat, crane, garage with pickup and a bar! Back when Town sets were the all amazing.

I have every catalogue from 1984-2004 (except 1991) and there are some wonderful models. The town range now, though getting better, is nothing on what it was like back then!

Anyone remember the Shuttle Launch Pad ('95), the Docks ('91), the Multistory Car Park ('88) and the Monorail ('90)? All fantastic! Some before my time but I'm lucky enough to have some very old catalogues and posters : )

Probably, simply due to nostalgia, my first big Castle set Royal Knight's Castle. Too bad I only have like 60% of that set left and like 1 or two incomplete unequipped minifigs.

Mine is a little more recent actually, it's the newer Rouge Shadow from The Force Unleashed. I enjoyed it the most because it was one of the more engaging builds I've done in awhile, and the end product was cool and sleek. Plus I love all the hidden features. Definitely a 10/10

Set name: The Dwarves' Mine
Set number: 7036
My opinion: I hadn't bought a LEGO(R) set in about four years, but after seeing this set I knew I needed it! I ordered it off of the LEGO(R) site and when it arrived I couldn't wait to piece it together! What a great set, so much playability and plenty of figs to keep my attention! It was hard for me to put the set together when I kept playing with it before it was finished! I recommend this great set to any LEGO(R) fan!
Features I enjoyed: The catapult and mine carts were fun to play with. The minifigs are great! The moving parts were continually asking for play!
My rating: 10/10, This set is GREAT and SHOULD be purchased!

Imperial Star Destroyer
Set no. 6211
I got it for Christmas two years ago and it wasn't very sturdy, but it looked so cool and had so many features (and Minifigs).

My favorite set used to be the original AAT, from like 2000 or something. I got it for Christmas, along with the Moss Espa podrace. It was awesome. I kept it assembled for about a year before it was accidenlty dismantled when we moved to Portland. The Podrace set was really cool, but my brother threw Sebulba's one down the stairs in an attempt to recreate the crash. I still haven't forgiven him, even though he was only 4. Both sets get a 5/5, just for sheer playability.

My new favorite is the new AAT, 8018. There's been alot of contreversy over lego prices recently, and even though I paid $50 for a set that's worth $40, I still love it. It's like the old AAT but better. Bigger, stabler, more room for the pilot, and more people. The only thing besides the price the made me angry was the stickers, really hard to put on. I remember the day's before stickers... 5/5 for the new AAT, no. 7/5 because it's so easy to mod. It comes apart into about 4 big parts very easy. Modding it is fun.

for nostalgic reasons, ultimately 6930 - the space supply station 5/5 and 6066 - camouflage outpost 5/5. they were great sets with new features and bricks (for that time) and endless playability. for greatpieces reasons: 4894 - the mythical creatures creatorset (a lighting brick! all kinds of green!)5/5 and the 7784-1 batmobileset( black is back! great greebling pieces!) 5/5.
there are probably a lot more, but these are my favourite, my absolute favourite!

Quoting Ralph Savelsberg
My favourite set is set no 5580, Highway Rig from 1986; the year I turned 11.

That's just reminded me one of my all time favourites was the Model Team Heli-Transporter that was alongside your favourite (launched 1990 in the UK).

I looked at it for hours in the '90 catalogue, but seeing as it was already about 8 years old when I got it thought I'd never get to own it. Then one day I was selling the toys I'd outgrown at a school sale, and a guy who was about 7 years older than me was doing the same thing with his toys, and he had the Heli-Transporter (and your Highway Rig) for sale!

£15 later, one of my best days ever : )

God, I don't know which one I like the best. I don't know the number or anything, but I think mine would be the original X-Wing. I wasn't buying Lego when all of the classic Castle and
Johnny Thunder sets were out. =(

Out of purely nostalgic reasons, my favourite sets are from my childhood years, 6048, 6552 and 6889 - Majisto's Workshop, Rocky River Retreat and the Cybernetic Soboton Robot. If I have to be absolutely honest, I'd have to say they are nothing SO special in terms of build or bricks. Even when comparing them to the other sets I had back then, they didn't necessarily stand out, yet I still love them to this day. Other than that, I was recently quite impressed by the Mobile Command Center (8635) - and I had never seen that coming!

Oh God, those things? I mean, ehem, that would have to be... no, not MMV, uh, probably, uh, uh, this is hard, uh, Chamber of Secrets. Just has to be. I like that it has such a range of piece color- grays and blacks and greens and "others" and also the totally awesome amount of black arm things. I love the basalisk and the head of Salazar Slytherin.
9 1/2 out of 10

Oh yeah, and the giant black base things.
