If you guys are interested in watching a stopmotion Lego baseball game that is over an hour long, please tell me some of your favorite songs in the form of a comment on one of my MOCs. I will probably have the game completed in a few years, since I will need a lot more Legos to build a stadium that seats hopefully 2000 minifigs with ads and everything. I have already picked out some songs, but I will play any requested songs at the game. It will more than likely be the Tampa Bay Rays, my favorite team, featuring my sigfig as a player, versus the New York Mets, my dad's favorite team. So remember, leave ideas in comments on my MOCs. By the way, this is real, it will just take a while to build and film. Permalink
It depends what I am building...
If it is fantasy/castle related: probably something from the Lord of the Rings soundtracks.
If it is something for Volatile Ambience: Something from the StarWars soundtracks or from the Halo soundtracks...and so it goes on... Permalink
Usually Classical like Tchaykovsky, Debussy or some Vivaldi (NO OPERA), or chamber music like Ronodň Veneziano. Modern Swing, or classic heavy metal, like Manowar. Sometimes '80s compilations or Disco/Funky, very seldom Dido or Cranberries.
More often I play old TV shows I almost know by heart so I don't need to follow the plots :) Permalink
Oh man... theres too many to count. Well, with my comics I usually try to listen to the song that I put with that episode when building it and taking the pictures. One thing I listen to a lot is Drum and Bass stuff, like B-Complex and Netsky. I also started listening to "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" when building :P Permalink
For me the sound of searching for LEGO bricks in the box is the music of building. Someone wrote "It's the sound of ideas becoming reality". When I listen to music while building I prefer some classic Chill-Out Jazz like "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis or "Blue Train" by John Coltrane. Metallica is more for the Autobahn while going at 230 kph :-)) Permalink
Hi.It depends what im building.
When im building bmw e46 then im listening Bon Jovi-Its my life or something like that.
When im building Volkswagen T3 or cars from 80's then im listening Alphaville or queen. Permalink
I sometimes listen to my iPod while building. I'll listen to classic rock, country, or classical music (Star Wars). A lot of the time since I have an old TV in my room I will watch a movie like Star Wars or Indiana Jones while building. Permalink
Some times when I am building I like to listen to classic rock, I have an MP3 player, but I never got around to putting much on it (I only know whether I like a song, not the name of it, lol!) so I just turn on the radio and let it play.
Most of the time though, I like to listen to old radio dramas from the 40's and 50's, Dragnet and Yours Truly Johny Dollar are my favorites. I would watch Starsky and Hutch, but I always have to pause and go back every two minutes because I miss something, radio is easier since as long as you ruffle throw the part bins quietly, you don't have to worry about missing anything.
Some times I get really focused on a project and don't even bother with music or anything, I just build non-stop and forget to eat, sleep, or doing anything else. Permalink
Normally I put the hole album Scream by Ozzy Osbourne playing while I'm building.
Marilyn Manson songs are also really good and I like do hear them when I'm building something.
Medusa by Anthrax is for me the best song I ever heard! When I really need inspiration I put Medusa playing! I even heard this song about 20 times in a day, and this already happened a few times. I really like that song. Permalink
