Quoting Tom R.
What are your views on the warfare of the medieval times? My main interest would be between the Schwabische and the Bavarian. But I also split that main interest with the Great Crusades, especially with Richard the Lionhearted.

My main intrest would be the Norman conquest of 1066

My favorite topics include:

The Crusades - here we find the historical origin of the stereotypical "knight-conqueror" archetype and imagery, though realistically, these knights were far from "noble" in the moral sense of the word. Also, if not for the Crusades, we may not have had America as we know it.

Medieval Russia – My motherland! I have actually been inside several of the castles, palaces, and cathedrals that have stood for centuries, including the Kremlin in Moscow, the Hermitage, and Saint Basil’s Cathedral.

The Mongolian Conquests – another part of my ancestral heritage, the Mongolians were a force the likes of which the world had never seen. Genghis Khan was a genius strategist and his horde conquered the largest contiguous empire in the history of the world. Also, if not for the brutal conquest of the Horde, the western world may not have advanced when it did.

Feudal Japan – the classic “age of samurai and ninja”

I find the Crusades and the Black Death very interesting
