Well, I liked Star Wars when I was little, but what really sold me was a book a read a long long time ago, called StarLuck. It was a fascinating story with a star wars-ish plot where the hero was a boy who was incredibly lucky.

In literature, Asimov's robots for sure, and Ray Bradbury. All classics until the '70s. In video, Star Trek (except Enterprise) and Terminator.

Flash Gordon! I actually own Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe on VHS, ah so hillarious. Seriously though, I've always enjoyed the orginal star wars movies, star trek (contrary to yurri I like enterprise), Firefly(Serenity) and I think this other show I enjoyed was called Starhunter(real gritty, I think the main ship was called Europa).

Well, my biggest inspiration is Warhammer 40k. It's got plenty of vehicle designs for me to steal and mangle, as well as a fantastic background to cram your own things into. Especially for the Orks...

Other than that, I enjoy SW, Firefly, Half-Life, various Anime (Most notably Ghost in the Shell and Gundam), Starcraft, and Battlestar Galactica. There are of course others, but these are the main ones.

Hm... That's a tough one. I like Star Wars (not the Clone Wars), I like most science fiction, but I most enjoy making up my own.

Battlestar Galactica all the way! I stood in line for the original SW in '77, watched the original Trek on TV. The only thing I never got into was the Star Gate series.

Quoting El Barto !
Battlestar Galactica all the way!

Kinda obvious from looking at your page. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I like Battlestar Galactica to.

Babylon 5 (which I notice a distinct lack of on MOCpages), Star Trek (mainly DS9), Star Wars, Ender's Game.

Star trek, BSG both origanel and recent one's including Barto's fantastic series. Bladerunner, the tron flicks, B5, star wars, moreso the books then the movies and tv show. Firefly, Terminator, really enjoyed the short lived tv show, dug the first movie not so much the others, alien, 1, and 2. The fifth element.

I've heard about Firefly but never seen it. Forgot to mention the Terminators and probably a lot of the other sentient robot movies. 2001 Space Oddessy is obvious.

Red Planet.
In 2050, scientists are preparing to colonize Mars, but when their efforts at altering the planet go awry, a manned rescue mission is launched. The mission's astronauts and scientists, however, soon encounter a deadly predicament of their own.

Mass Effect, Firefly, Star Wars, Star Trek and "Raumpatrouille- Die phantastischen Abenteuer des Raumschiffes Orion (a german sci-fi series from 1966)!

Allo there. Did somebody say sci-fi? Too many favs and too many mediums too mention but..

In terms of visuals I think Starwars and Alien/ Aliens have the best ships. Think of how many designs have been influenced by them.

District 9 has great mechs. Blade runner best city scape. Mass Effect has it's charms too.
