Hello Fellow Master Builders, I hope you enjoy Lego just as much as I do. I am Retired Navy, and when I was active duty, I would go to Lego Conventions or hang with the '8th Fleet' (1/96 scale Museum Quality Navy ships found at Scaleshipyard) on my off time, even helping folks I didn't know, set up or do what ever I could to get them going. I was allowed to display a small SR-71 (Built 1995), and an F-117A (Built 2003) with the Southern California Lego Train Club, SCLTC. Today it's different. I've decided that I am restarting a New Saga. My goal is to build planes from the very beginning (Wright Flyer) up to today and possibly beyond with use of the Lego Figurine in mind. Anything bigger than that and I'd be over my head. I also live not too far from a small airport where of all things, my Grandmother works part time. In the past, they held 'Fly Ins' where anyone with an aircraft of some kind could gather. Usually this was in May well before the Reno Air Races in September. My goal is to help restart the Fly In, and Display these Lego Birds with new additions every year. I saw a man who posted a Beautiful Red Baron and that's how I found this site. I hope I'm not the only crazy for Lego guy around here and will enjoy seeing your projects and hearing from you as well!! I want this noted: with the advent of new Lego, things may be revised yet again on all my creations. Hey! It's Lego, and as a Wise Fellow builder on here said, "Good enough" doesn't exist. There's only "I'll come back to this once I figure out a better strategy." A true project is never "done." I concur! -Cheers, ABE2 (AW) C.L. Faddis USN Ret.
