I'm sorry that there are no MOC's on this page right now. I will try to explain.
When I was young, I was an avid Lego builder and MOC'er. When I was 16, back in 1992, I entered the tradition Dark Ages and sold all my Lego, including extensive Castle and Space collections.
In the year 2000, Star Wars Lego sets brought me back to the light, at least as far as buying and building sets was concerned. Since then i have been buying, buidling and scrapping again, so I once again have an extensive collection of Lego, both in built-up sets and in useable loose parts. However, since then I have not been able to find the time, imagination and courage to build MOC's again.
"Courage", you ask? Yes. The Internet, non-existent when I was young, has shown me the excellent, amazing, and sometimes downright unbelievable creations of builders such as the Arvo brothers, Ralph Savelsberg, Lego Monster, Dan Siskind, Nannan Z., Keith Goldberg and many, many others. Although I admire the creations of these people immensely, they do also intimidate me. I have an irrational fear that anything I build must be of the standards set by these people.
So now I have set myself the challenge of becoming a MOC'er again. I realize it will be a long proces. Firstly it means that I have to get to grips with my own collection of parts again, knowing what parts I own, in which colors and in what quantities. Secondly, I will have to lower my own initial standards, realizing that quality is only going to come with lots of practice and experimentation.
And I hope that somewhere in the next days, weeks or (I hope not) months I will be able to show my first succesful MOC's right here!
