Welcome to the Liberty City Fire Department(FDLC). The FDLC was founded in 1868 and protects the city of Liberty City, in an area of around 18.5 square miles in size, with a growing population of approximately 218,538 residents, which can rise to over 350,000 during the working hours. The Liberty City Fire Department operates out 12 Fire Stations, located throughout the city, under the command of a Deputy Chief and 3 Battalion Chiefs. The FDLC also staffs a fire apparatus fleet of 11 Engines, 6 Trucks, 1 Squad, 1 Rescue, and numerous special, support, and reserve units. The FDLC has over 350 full-time, professional firefighters, dispatchers, and command staff that operate in 4 shifts, or platoons, each with a 24 hours on and 72 hours off tour of duty. The FDLC responds to approximately 38,000 emergency calls annually.
