Hello, Welcome to my page, etc. etc.
I really like to look at what other people build in the online lego community, so don't mind if I copy many people...I will give credit, and if I don't and you realize it, email me.

In case you had any interest, or a lot of free time, just like to know things like this, or are a total towel-head or something along those lines, here is my stance on the new legos (colors and sets).

I will consider the following as "new colors"; Bley, Sand Purple, Sand Green, Dark green, New light grey, Reddish brown, Dark Blue, Sand Blue, and Dark Red. Some of these I like...Sand Green, Dark Green I absolutely love, Dark Blue and Dark Red. They all just seem to go good with things I make and with the colors already available. Others, like Sand Blue, Reddish brown and sand purple are okay. I don't really use them for anything, but they look good. But, as for the other two (Bley and New Light Grey) I hate. They pollute my collection, and it's already too late to separate them out without a massive and tiring sort-out. The new light grey jsut clashes so much with the old light grey and I don't have enough of, while bley is the same. They don't work well with other colors, and I have trouble building things using them much. I know it's short but that's all I have to say, except that I also hate the new peach skin color, it ruins the lovely "un-racist" standard the lego company had for such a long time...

Most new sets I've gotten have been crap full of Bley and New Light Grey. Lines like Harry Potter and KK2 may have some good ones occasionally, but mostly are flimsy and contain colors I dislike and peices I will not use. Some New star wars sets are like this too. They just seem to break too easily...but then came the Vikings...This line is probably the best line lego has had in quite a while, (from the old Castle sets KK1) They have good design, mostly pieces that are of colors I like and are usable, simply awesome figs, and the axes allow alot of variability. I don't really pay much attention to the Bionicle lines, they got old a long time ago, but the Vikings include some bionicle/technic peices which enhance my collection, especially when trying to build mechs and other joints. As for the 2006 sets, The town sets look fine (don't look at that line much, but I might some more now...) but the Exo-force looks mostly like crap! The hair is totally wierd for lego standards, the mechs and other vehicles look flimsy (but may include some useful elements) and the droid enemy things are made out of MORE new pieces. Lego needs to stop making new peices in place of using older peices more.
If you want to buy any of these "2006" sets RIGHT NOW, go to Toys 'r' us. They have Exo-force, and the new town sets (along with Vikings, YAY!)
