The Alliance of Outer Systems is a confederacy of four star systems, founded soon after the fall of Earth. The homeworld of the Alliance of Outer Systems, or AOS, is Arandos, located in the Draconis Alpha system.
Government consists of a senate of governors from all planets of the AOS. Colonies are considered to be under the rule of the nearest main planet until such time as they become main worlds of the AOS, whereupon they gain all rights held by main planets of the AOS.
Planetary governors are elected by the population of the planet and any colonies it controls.
Each planet has its own senate and judiciary branch, which keep order and make laws for the planet. For decisions regarding the AOS as a whole, the senate of governors meets.
The AOS military is divided into three main branches: the marines, airforce, and starfleet. The marines, which is primarily made of mechanized units with special operations units for specialized infantry missions, controls all land and sea combat, the airforce controls all air and orbital combat and the Starfleet controls all other space-based combat.
Several other such factions have also claimed territories in the nearby galactic sector, and war has broken out between nearly all the factions. The AOS has, so far, only defended its borders. Currently, the most fighting the AOS has had is over a militarily strategic colony in the Necros Alpha system – the planet of Cienar.
Okay, sorry for forcing (Glued to you seat, weren't you!) you to read that pseudo-military sci-fi stuff. I have been a LEGO® freak for most of my life. I especially like futuristic military creations and small, detailed creations from everyday life.
