My LEGO creations

Welcome to my Lego page. The creations I post will mostly, if not entirely, be based on the Halo video games. Yes, I use dark blue for the Covenant vehicles. That's because using purple is too hard (I take my hat off to those of you that actually do use purple) and red just doesn't look that close to purple in my opinion (though the Spectre is undeniably red). I do however, add purple highlights to them, which I think add a very nice effect and make them seem more 'Covenantish'.
My minifigs are made to a scale of 4cm = 6ft, since minifigs are almost exactly 4cm tall. I try to keep all my 'figs as scale-accurate as possible.
I'd like to apologise to Sabre-Scorpion (ahem, Saber-Scorpion) for often spelling his name with an 'RE' instead of an 'ER'. It's just that being Australian I find it so hard to use the American spelling.
NOTE: I get a lot of information from Halopedia, despite its many inaccuracies, because it's quick and easy. So if there's some inaccurate information on my pages, please tell me.
Instructions: I WILL NOT POST INSTRUCTIONS, so please don't ask. Maybe I will occasionally post pictures of my creations partially dissassembled, but no promises.

My Lego philosophy:
Cutting: Only to be used in the most desperate of circumstances, when there is ABSOLUTELY no decent alternative to what you're trying to do.
Painting/Using decals: Not too bad, but try to keep it to a minimum. Should only be using for minifigs (and maybe weapons) - can only be used for vehicles to get insignias, labels, writing, etc.
Clay/Custom molding: I don't mind custom molding (Brickarms, Brickforge, etc.) for weapons and minifigs if there isn't a satisfying way to get what you need. Making custom heads out of clay is alright I suppose if you're trying to make an alien.
Minifig Colour: I think any minifig unless it is based off a movie/game etc. should be yellow. If based off a movie or game, it should still be yellow unless the skin colour is vastly different. I think it's fine to use brown skin for Sergeant Johnson, for example.
Obscure Joints: I don't mind using those obscure joints (if you don't know what I'm talking about, check out Mondaynoodle's creations (Brian Kescenovitz) Halo minifigs, and you'll know soon enough), but I try (and fail) to keep it to a minimum.
