This is Rabbit Hollow a small community at Owl Lake. It is home to an owl sanctuary run by the the brothers Harold and Hendrix, where sick and injured owls are treated. The Hollow has welcomed a community of Rom (gypsies) and given them land and a home. They run an outdoor cafe and market as well as the Hotel Persia and Arabian Delights Restaurant. The Captain's Daughter Cider Mill is famous for its ciders both soft and hard. Other businesses in town are Gert's Groceries, The Stone Frog Pet Shop, The White Owl Bakery, Better Read Than Dead Books, The Grey Falcon Apothecary, The Merry Jane Tavern And Eatery, the all organic free trade Birdcage Cafe and Venice Pizzeria where only fresh ingredients are used . It is also home of the Blue Loon Tavern, hang out of the Green Dragons Motorcycle Club. The hollow has it's own Post office, Blacksmith and Flour Mill.
The University of Natural Medicine and Healing is in an 18th century mansion and the old fort has been converted to the Red Lion Apartments. Most of the original architecture as been preserved in town.
The only church in town welcomes all to worship. Pastor Larry has simple services on Fri., Sat., and Sunday. There is also a small Shinto Shrine maintained by Toshiro and his wife Kyoko .
A tram line connects the Hollow to the next nearest town, over 50 miles away.
