I have loved Legos since much too long ago to remember quite when exactly, but I remember my first set (a fire truck set, and I was disappointed that water didn't actually come out of the hose like it did on the box).
Currently, I am having troubles uploading any pictures at all of my creations due to the fact that the computer, with which I do not get along but still love dearly, says that the pictures I took in order to upload must be mine... and I am currently still too lazy to talk to somebody who might have the (usually obvious) answer for fixing this simple problem.
My creations mostly conform to the general idea of weaponized vehicles, from ground based to air based, and on a few occasion, though never simultaneously, a weaponized fortress. I don't like boats so much, but that might be because any time I used to build a boat out of Legos, the vehicle would float in water, but water would seep between the cracks of the Legos and I would have to take it apart and let it dry.
Needless to say, my collection still expands, and I still explore new ways for the pieces to join together. I love the different ways that Flats can stand between the dots, and how the new (they came out in my childhood, and I found them impossible at first, but at least they interact with standard Legos unlike Bionicle, which I dislike just barely less than MegaBlocks)Pegs and Holey blocks interact not only with each other, but also standard Legos.
When I get a set, I build it. A little while later, I scrap it for pieces and usually cannibalize it and other sets together to creat my own, color un-coordinated sets. On very few occaasions are there any sorts of color schemes besides rainbowishy.
I figured out how to upload, and all is simple and well again.
I recently got the Supersonic Jet Lego Creator Set, built it, and was saddened by its inaccuracy. Its canards are directly in the way of the intakes for the engines, bad number one. There is hardly a camber at all to the wings, also bad. The flaps hardly add and amount of cmaber to the wings, bad number three. The rudder doesn't move, bad four. It's a fighter jet without any weapons (bombs, cannons, or missiles). The front canopy doesn't go up, just the back. No minifigures accompany the set, but the set is built to accomodate them. And lastly, the horizontal stabilizers seem much to close to the wings. But I love the set all the same. =D I can't wait to scrap it and make my own version!
Most recently, I've been interested in building theoretical aircraft realistically, such as with proper camber for lift, sufficient wing area, appropriate proportions, adequate engines, necessary moving parts such as elevators, rudders, flaps, and other basic control parts. The two prides of my work are the Megaladon B-Model (not uploaded yet) and another un-named plane(also not yet uploaded). Also, on occasion, I create unmanned fighters and bombers, which require substantially less work.
I design my own missiles and bombs to accompany the aircraft, and feature different weapons. Some missiles of my creation are independent of aircraft due to their size and are thus land based.
Current Project: I am currently working on designing the XB-70 Valkyrie. There are a couple of issues that I am having to overcome before it gets completed, these being:
-Computer issues right now are keeping me from designing the model.
-I don't have nearly enough pieces to make an accurate scale model.
-I don't have nearly enough white pieces to make it look like the Valkyrie.
-I don't know exactly what pieces I need so I can order them, and I don't want to have to order a ton of pieces, not use half of them, and have to make another two or three orders to get everything I need.
So, in the meantime, using the pieces I have, I am designing the various parts to the beast. Right now, I've designed my first stowaway wheels EVER, for the back sets of wheels on the XB-70. Sadly, the design I came up with only has three wheels instead of four on the pod, but it works beatuifully. I may take pictures and upload each stage, but then again, I may not. Also, if I do upload the pics, it should be noted that these are testing mounts, and that I'm only taking the design of the pieces, not the actual bricks. I plan on ordring EVERYTHING even if I already have it just in case.
