A LEGO maxi-figure sized Space Marine from the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
About this creation
This is based on a sketch model my colleague Luis (Switch Fighter) Castaneda made for fun. We both love the ultra violent Warhammer 40,000 universe and I couldn't resist building this based on his version of a Space Marine. I'm still trying to persuade him to post his Ultra Marine, but for now you'll just have to cope with my Blood Angel.
Amazing marine! looks almost like a precurser to an Iron Man figure with all the red and gold ! on second thought it looks like a cross between Iron Man and War Machine : Iron Mans colors War Machines toys lol
nice bolt pistol and chainsword. the jump pack is very detailed, and love that you gave him a face instead of a helmet. leg armour looks alittle to large to the overall figure but a very impresive replication of the tiny models ha ha ha
This takes me back about 20 years to Gamesday at the Assembly rooms in Derby, meeting Carl Critchlow (read Thrud the barbarian - it's superb!), Bil, John Blanche et all and seeing glass cabinets full of the Games Workshop pro's paint jobs. I always loved Blood Angels too. Great Job.
I like the marine dude =D (fan of Templars though haha XD) oh ya, the guy a few comments below me *Yuri Fassio* you said that they had online part stores, can you link a few so i can check em out? greatly appreciated
Ok, now I have a serious question. Those two big ball pieces you used for the backpack, I've seen them in some Star Wars sets (acting as weapons, I think), but I have no idea of how they're called, so I can't find them in any spare part online shop. Does anybody know what's their correct name, or code? You can reply on any of my MOCs :)
I really need bigger ball joints for the ankles of my Grond, here http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/101738, thanks for your time! :)

I just had a wargasm! I'm in love with the 40K Universe as well and this is could make the Emporer stand on the golden throne and applaud you sir. You are a Remembrancer of the highest order.
Cheers for the nice words everyone.
The decals are just Games Workshops own black and white ones, increased in size and painted in photoshop.
The bullet mark stickers are from the EXO-Force Sentai Fortress set.
I don't play 40K myself anymore, but I still sometimes buy figures and paint them.
I tried to build a helmet, still not happy with it, I might build another figure if I can get it right!
I do not particularly like a lot of elements of the WH-40k universe, some things come pretty close to the occult. However, the art and models are amazing, and this is amazing. I cannot name a specific detail, but overall, nice work!
Yeah, I keep seeing the Warhammer stuff at a glance... online pics, friends who play, etc. I'm gonna have to check it out in a more serious fashion one of these days. Anyway, this guy's fantastic. Beautiful execution from decals, to parts, to color work. Love the blade, too. Nice job.
