Found floating near the apparently deserted 4th moon of the planet Xenuteg, Object Number 73 was very difficult to capture. There have been reports of a blue box flying around in that area, and every ship that has made the report was never found again. Nobody is quite sure why the ships went missing, but one can be sure it is related to this mystery.
While no one is quite sure how it works, those black and grey fins provide some sort of thrust. By the angle of all fins together, this ship changes direction. While it has not been confirmed, scientists are thinking they somehow harness a magnetic field and use it for thrust.
Those "spines" on the tail of the ship act as some sort of weapon. They manage to charge up (probably using an electric field), and send the energy into the front cone.
So, the bandwagon has officially begun! I really liked this idea, and needed something to build (I haven't broken out the legos in a few weeks what with school and what not). I figured this would be a quick and simple build, but lots of fun, and it was. That, and I have been looking for an excuse to use that technique I used for the fins...
In stead of using technique half pins to connect the "cockpit", I used round 2x2s in the middle, and connected them with a rod. It made for a cleaner, sleeker square. I also am sorry about the dark blue. I ran out of regular blue, but the studs were killing me. I do kind of like them, they sort of look like racing stripes.
So, I hope you all enjoyed. I had lots of fun, and hope to make some more soon. You can see the original idea here. (the HTML was having issues. You will just have to copy and paste)
So, remember, it's all in the details, and let the bandwagon jumping begin!!
