What's the point in having artillery and striders if you can't bring them ammo?
About this creation
I would like to point out that despite my recent entering into the whole UNE/COP thing, none of the mocs I post are specifically intended for the theme unless otherwise stated.
There is really not much to say about the MPT-4; it's the jack-of-all-trades of the Imperial military, acting as an APC, ammo transport, mobile HQ, ambulance, artillery hauler, mobile hospital, transport, all terrain patrol vehicle, even a mobile firebase if you have enough of them.
The ol' lucky seven is a favorite attachment, being specifically designed to fit on the offset towbar of the MPT.
Or was it the other way round?
This particular vehicle (serial no. 225798) is in use as one of several artillery tractors for the 12th Artillery Company of the Third Starfleet.
As such, its crew is standard: the driver is also the gunner, the commanding officer is... well... the commanding officer, the loader is just a passenger, the guy on top (he comes with the vehicle) is the machinegunner, and finally, this guy here is a guard for the artillery.
I'm quite proud of the machinegun mounting, actually. As with all designs of mine, if you copy it, include a link to my page.
As a matter of fact, the whole vehicle was basically made just to fit that gun; it was meant to go on a bunker initially, and before that it was supposed to go on a BW inspired scout car. Just goes to show the weird things that can get me to make a moc, eh?
When used as an artillery transport, the MPT-4 carries two six-round crates of standard HEFRAG ammunition and two three-round clips of HVKP ammo.
That is, High Explosive FRAGmentation and High Velocity Kinetic Penetrator respectively.
I seem to recall a photo like this is common for all LegoŽ combat vehicles; who am I to break with tradition?
All in line; without those crates in the way, the vehicle could carry more than twice that quantity of fully equipped shock troops; good thing those guys travel light, huh?
There should be a link below that says 'Leave A Comment' or words to that effect; if it's not there, please let me know by leaving a 5-smiley comment on my AS-72.

hey look, no, they are exposed. You do want it to survive, don't you?
Not really. This thing stole the wheels off my Ares scout car. The sooner it dies the sooner my Ares can go for a drive and the sooner the replacement half-track can be built; the thing's going to be at least one and a half times this size.
Wow. Speaking in engagement terms, this thing, well, you probably don't need me telling you. I believe Goldman said it all. My signifigant complaint would be to put some fenders over the wheels. They look, no, they are exposed. You do want it to survive, don't you?
Awesome job! Love the capacity and machine gun turret. The wheels look great on this. Also, I too created a support vehicle of sorts, the DL-PCT, recently. Although, I don't think mine can carry as much as yours...
It's a second line support vehicle; carrying capacity and all terrain mobility are more important than appearance. After all, would you rather your supply vehicles can't carry diddly-squat and win prizes for aesthetics, or that they carry like an elephant and are as sleek and beautful as such?
