The Xarkon Thyrm Tank... it has at least six different ways to destroy you, and that's more than it needs! Energy saws, heavy blazer gatling guns, rear machine guns, missiles, armor-piercing explosive shells... we've got more than enough death and destruction for everyone!
The rear gunner is not just a rear gunner. He also can control the main cannon no matter which way it is facing, thus leaving the driver free to control the vehicle's movement and other weapons' systems. Xarkon did not want to leave any of this up to automation.
You're staring right down the barrel of the longest-range artillery weapon in Nova Refuge. Not only is the Mjolnir shell capable of blowing through the hull of a capital ship, but it also is surrounded by an energy field to help it through armor plating and shields.
The energy saw is made up of a circle of suspended-energy blades that can spin. When this thing strikes an enemy's shields, it's liek battering them with eight energy blades in a few miliseconds. This overloads them in no time. It also can be used to cut through enemy fortifications and anti-tank obstacles.
Surface to Air Missiles: 1,200 Crowns. Heavy-duty energy cells: 3,000 Crowns. Armor-piercing explosive ballistic shells: 4,600 Crowns. The satisfaction of running over your enemies and crushing them into dust: Priceless. There are some things hover vehicles CAN carry. For everything else, there's big awesome treads.
OLD VERSION - for those of you who saw this version, here is a list of changes I made in the new version:
1: trans-red instead of trans-orange windshield
2: improved, smoother nose
3: complete armor plating on the sides of the treads
4: a few tiles and other details on top
Another cool creation. I like the whole symbolic thing with the Crown of Xarkon. Really Cool. I like the cannons, and the side guns too. Also, the coler is nice too (I LOVE red). Another grand piece by another grand builder is all I have to say about this piece.
I am awed by the sheer size and ferocity of this beast. That is one heck of a job. Well done!
I like it

Awsome Scorp! Love the design, love the guns and love the quotes! By the way, if you do ever make a walker called the Thor, do make it the best walker you can! I would love that! But thats just me.....
I really like the updated version. The smooth cockpit and the red windshield makes it all the better. I also love the way the cockpit opens with the flippy things and all. Axcelent MOC Scorp ~ The Legohaulic
Pretty cool. I like how you keep everything consistent. If it has to have the Crown shape, it does no matter what. If it is built by you, it has to destroy horribly; these are just facts of life. Oh, and by the way, I liked the little Jotun. I say little because of the photo of them together; The Thyrm is humongous compared to it. I look forward to more Nova Refuge stuff, especially Grimm's army!-Phil ;-)
I'm just wondering why you would worry about people wanting you to take the really big and destructive looking spinning saw blades off? I love those, the guns, the treads, the cockpit and the color design. I think I'm forgetting some other destructive part, but o well. I think I ended up using a cockpit opening design like that on an x-wing I modified once before. Awesome job.
This is way better than the first one....
The guns on the back look better, and I like the red canopy better than the orange one. The armor on the sides does look rough, but the "clicky bricks" that hold up those smaller guns next to the big cannon have some strange colors in them. I mean, don't you have the Knight's Kingdom Vladek action figure? He has those same peices, but in red and black. Well, it's still exellent.
Excellent custom, and the little improvements just make it better...I never liked so much the general design, I tend to prefer tanks whan they are a little more "compact", but design matters mostly depend on personal tastes...anyway, I simply LOVE the cockpit, it looks great when it's closed, and the opening it's brilliant. The detailing it's good too, it has a good balance between studs showing and smoothness. Keep it on, I'd like to see some Grimm stuff now!
