The F4U Corsair. Another of my favorite WW2 fighters. I just love the wings. I hope you like it to.

The Chance Vought F4U Corsair was a carrier-capable fighter aircraft that saw service in World War II and the Korean War (and in isolated local conflicts). Goodyear-built Corsairs were designated FG and Brewster-built aircraft F3A. The Corsair served in some air forces until the 1960s, following the longest production run of any piston-engined fighter in U.S. history (19421952).[1] [2] Some Japanese pilots regarded it as the most formidable American fighter of World War II.[3] The U.S. Navy counted an 11:1 kill ratio with the F4U Corsair.

Thanks Francis! I'll try my hand at version 2 of this model which will be more to minifig scale. I have other MOCs that I've photographed but haven't posted, I'll put those up. :)

Ralph, Thanks so much for commenting. I am a great admirer of your lego planes/helicopter. They are amazing! I think my model comes in at 41 studs long with a wingspan of 44 studs. The actual plane is 33' 8" long, wingspan 41'. I think I will move the cockpit and wings forward by 3 studs and shorten the area from the cockpit to the tail by 3 studs and remove another 2 studs at the end of the plane. Also make the horizontal stabilizers maybe 4 studs wide instead of 6. What do you think?
