Custom built Republic Stealth LAAT. This is my first MOC so I appreciate your input and comments!
About this creation
My Lego addiction began as a kid, but resurfaced after helping my son put together a number of Star Wars Clone Wars sets for his birthday a few weeks ago. Our favorite was the Republic LAAT, thus it made sense for me to build my version. The nice thing is that I did have the LAAT instructions and my recent build experience which made it easier to build this version though I'd say I only followed the standard brick layout for about 30% (basic superstructure) of this creation.
I used parts from the following sets: The Twilight and the Ultimate Collectors Imperial AT-ST Walker as well as a 5 lb lot of black bricks off ebay and a lot of canopy's and windows as well. My wife was about ready to shoot me for spending a good deal of time on the build (lots of trial and error) but my son loves the final product so it was all worth it!
A little background story for the Bad Moon Rising.
The LAAT/tr (Tactical Reconnaissance) was a prototype gunship created just before the dawn of the empire. 4 prototypes were built. Only 1, stolen by the original team of engineers who created the design is known to still exist. Upon the engineering team's defection to the Alliance, they brought the Bad Moon Rising with them.

LAAT/tr Custom next to my son's standard LAAT for size comparison. The LAAT/tr is about 10 bricks longer overall, however if you include the standard LAAT cannons, its about the same length. the LAAT/tr is more streamlined and a little squatter than the standard LAAT
Side view of the Bad Moon Rising. You can see the forward autocannon, pilot, navigator and forward weapons station.
Pilot/Commander seat with HUD.
Navigator/Comm Officer seat with expanded instrument panel.
Rear upper turret seat.
Rear view of the turret, integrated engines and streamlined rear troop ramp.
Front weapons officer station below pilot/navigator seats.
Rear Side Door Design. I hated my original door design, but a couple of re-designs and hours later, I was finally happy with the result.
The build was made over the course of about 5 days. The build is pretty heavy, much more so than the standard Lego LAAT/i set. Roughly 1,500 pieces went into the build.
this is not bad its streamlinedness is not bad my friend! but the colors seem too scattered to me but could you please check out my LAAT/tr please its called the R.E.D. dragon gunship and its has these really cool custom dragon face stickers like an ARC ship and could you also check out my republic chaingun tank? thanks

Even though I am not into the whole SW thing, I do like a good and well built ship. What you have here is a definite improvement and it looks like a real military vehicle.
Thank you! That was definitely my intent. It was one of the thoughts behind including the various integrated antennas, under-wing pods, even the engine design. My goal was for the vehicle to look as realistic as possible.
