Fighter, Strike, Reconnaissance -- The Firebrand is a single-seat, 5.1 generation multi-role fighter in the same class as the Saab Gripen, the Dassault Rafale and the Eurofighter Typhoon.

The Mark II is the single seat version. The aircraft is carrier capable with strengthened landing gear, arresting hook and folding wings.

The Mark IV is the two seat version - (to be posted later.)

Underside view: showing 8 advanced air-to-air missiles -- located in 2 cell rotating bays.

Hey Steffan, Thanks for the comment! It's actually smaller than mini-figure scale. I still haven't come up with a way to retract the gear with this style of construction... but I'm still working on it..;) The 1st version of this had a pointier nose - 4 pegs, vs. 8 pegs. The cannon was tucked in on the right w/the refueling system hidden on the left. It looked good, but when I designed the 2 seater w/the larger nose (originally w/out an internal cannon) I was just taken by the cleaner lines.

This thing looks pretty great overall. I especially like the underwing ordinance and the missiles hung below the fuselage. SNOT looks cool, too. Their just two things they I think should be changed: the cockpit (so a minifig finds its place) & the nose (it should be somewhat pointier...). Other than that, a pretty cool fighter. Steffen P.S. What about landing gear; does it retract?
