so here is my cleaned up and almost final version of the SV-52 Needle.
About this creation
the changes include:
-wings now sweep forward
-minor changes in exterior of fuselage including color cleanup
-changing primary beam-pulse weapon points to 9-tube missile racks
-two bigger engines instead of one big with two littles
-addition of large beam-pulse gun underneath.
-and maybe some other stuff I forgot I changed

the Splinter is a more advanced version of the Needle chassis. The splinter has an airlock hatch at the back so that it can dock to the exterior of a ship instead of having to land in the hangar, this means a much quicker launch for more lethal effect. Another advantage of docking outside is that heavy weaponry can be mounted to the underside of the craft as exhibited by this "Cruiser Bruiser" variation.
The nickname "Splinter" comes from the way that a squadron of SV-54s will splinter off of the exterior of a capital ship.
Edit: ...and then I went and changed something again. I traded the 1x8 plate on the side of the nose for a sleeker 1x6 and 1x2 tiles.
