E.O.S. Anti-starfighter frigate
About this creation
Well, a picture says a thousand words! Just have a look ;)

The primary role of this ship is to protect other ships from starfighter attacks. So the main weapons are anti-starfighter turrets, there are 74 of them.
At the highest point of the ship, in order to overlook the whole battle, there is the bridge, with two high mounted sensor disks. You can also see some anti-starfighter turrets enclosing the stern, one double-capital ship turret in the middle, and a tractor beam projector on each side. Beneath the capital ship turret is a hangar for high ranked officer shuttles. It's closer to the bridge than the other hangars, so it saves them time. And in this case, the two binoculars are used as turret-mounted missile launchers.
The middle section has four large hangars, one at each side, best filled up with fighter squadrons. The two round grill tiles on top are meant to be shield generators.
This is a very rare feature among starships I guess, though it actually is a must have! That are maneuvering thrusters, there are acutally 6 of them (two are at the bow). Due to the fact that the underside is less armed, maneuverability is a good way to counter it. The ship can easily roll along its axis.
Here you see the hangar again, and one capital-ship turret beneath. I tried to add some greebles, but it didn't turn out very well. Probably the surface was just too small, or I wasn't good enough :P
The engines are rather simplistic, but they get the job done. It's not the fastest ship, but quite maneuverable. Actually I don't like the neon yellow, I would rather like to have it in blue... ;(
Anyway, the engines are somewhat protected by anti-starfighter turrets, and fighters usually should avoid huge neon yellow bricks! ;)
In this case however, the black binoculars are rather meant to be stabilizing thrusters, not launchers.
To offer some protection against capital ships as well, I mounted a total of 8 double anti-capital ship turrets. Nevertheless it's meant to fight against small fighter crafts. Yeah, I see this is very cowardly, but just remember David vs. Goliath. :P
The bow also contains a pair of rocket launchers and three unspecified but huge weapons.

The front reminds me of a brute chopper from Halo. The overall design reminds me of reavers from Firefly. Good attention to the details, especially the maneuvering thrusters. That's only the second time I see something like that on a ship on MOCpages. |

I think what I admire most about your building is you creativity. You always have some new design that looks amazing, and has never been used before. This creation uses an assortment of parts I (and anyone else)would never have thought to use this way. You're going up on the favorite builders list! |

That is an awesome capital ship. I love the design, very open in some parts, and armored in others, gives it a nice contrast. I don't think the fighters I made would stand much of a chance. |

I must have forgotten to comment on this the first time I saw it. This is a wonderfully unique capital ship, it screams 'these are the bad guys' to me. I love the way you used the 1/4 saucer pieces on this, especially on the engines. I've been planning on ripping my clone wars AAT set apart and using the parts from it to do something similar, at least now I know it will look good :P |

Whoa! Amazing! Where did you get all those black minifig hands? I used only eleven on a microscale capital ship and still that was around half of all I had. Then again, I don't have all that many pieces anyways... From what I've seen, I think this would make an excellent complement to Fed's High Ground, since it doesn't seem to have all that much defense against anything smaller than a large capital ship. To scale, those massive cannons would be most effective against a ship only about half its own size or more, and the COP and UNE don't seem to have all that many ships that size! |

I also agree with Areetsa C, Bigger and a little more detailed than that mega-cruiser that Fed is building..
Not really, in fact High Ground is bigger. This one is about 54 studs. Dunno how long HG is though, but it sure is longer than 54 studs ;)

Yeah, it got shrinked somehow...

I find it interesting that your small flyswatter is bigger and better than Fed's precious mega-battlestation.
Well, it's all up to scale, but personally I don't like to build megasized ships. This one is somehow realistic, as far as spaceships can be realistic. And just because it's comparatively small, doesn't mean I can't put some details in it, right? ^^ |
