Gottwald AMK 1000t
Mini fig size mobile crane. The out riggers are very rigid helping give more lift ability and stability. It has 2 micro motors and a lot of counter weight when the crane is fully up and lifting. The counter weight is made up of 2 9v battery boxes and 2 Lego 2x3x6 block weights. The side weights are full of BB pellets. The jib is optional depending on the needs
About this creation
Here is a mini fig scale Gottwald 1000t mobile crane. It comes in on a number of trucks and is assembled on the site. You can see the set up at one was ever built. I just thought it would be a different build from what many people have built. More photos of the trucks can be seen at A dicast model and diorama of this Gottwald AMK 1000t crane can be seen at

The main boom is up and the hook is ready to lift. In the back ground you can see the trucks needed to carry all the items needed for the crane. The main boom comes in on the one large truck and is later attached to the main crane assembly.

The head of the crane with the cords looped over 4 times

The Jib was added and is pulled back to full extension

The jib is bent over as the load is being readied on the heavy transport. The transport was rebuilt and the trailer was a copy of one I saw that was bring in massive tanks at the oil refinery.

The Tank from the train fuel car is being lifted with the jib bent over for better reach to the trailer.

The Jib has been raised and the main boom extended a little.

   The Jib.

When the boom is extended full and the jib bent over, there was a need for more counter weight. The weights just clear the body of the truck.

The main boom fully extended and the jib is pulled up. The total height of the crane in this configuration is 4.5 feet or 137 cm.

The jib is bent over with the main boom fully extended. The boom a can be bent further, but I could not get it all in the picture.

The lift is done and the tank is were it needed to be put.
