This was the workhorse of the US Military during WWII up until after the Vietnam War. It's probably the most(or one of the most) famous vehicles of the WWII. There was a few different models of the jeep, this one being a guntruck.
Overall view. I forgot to change out the neon yellow-green headlights for clear ones, oh well.
Although Browning .30 cal's were more common on this vehicle, I decided to make the easlier of the two, the Browning M2 .50 cal machine gun. Based on the scale of the vehicle the .50 cal should be much larger, right now its about the size of the .30 cal(although it looks nothing like the .30).
View of the back bumper. There's a Jerry-can(gas can)on the left and a spare tire on the right. The trailer hitch is not accurate, but it'll do.
View of the drivers position. Showing the gun mount on that side with what looks to be a M1 Carbine. And the axe on the lower mount.
Side view. This model sports an antenna for a radio. This is not a particularly a good thing considering, during WWII, the Nazi's were more prone to attack the Willy's with an antenna than one without it.
Another side view showing how the windshield can fold down.
Showing the back half of the jeep, along with the extra ammo boxes on the far side for the .50 cal.
View down the front.
View of the front. It's a bit blurry, but oh well.
-This is my first WWII vehicle build and my first military vehicle posted on this site.
-Hope you liked it and feel free to leave a comment/suggestion.
Awesome jeep man! I think it's great. The detail is perfect. You got from the folding windshield to the trailor hitch.
P.S. Could you go over to that military group we were in the other night. We can talk in there. Leave a reply on my page if you need to.
