In ancient Greece, the Myrmidons were a tribe of brave warriors commanded by Achilles. The men and women who pilot Myrmidons belong to a genetically enhanced warrior caste dedicated to warding off alien invasions by the C.O.P. and E.O.S.
This hardsuit is loosely based on the excellent "MD Gorilla" hardsuit by Paul Lee.
The Myrmidon is armed with what is basically a scaled-up, upgraded version of the Fabrique Nationale P90 submachine gun. It fires 20mm gauss rounds.
The approximate weight without pilot and weapon is 4 tons. It is equipped with a field radio on the back.
The cockpit uses a hatch design and leaves gaps in the body, making armor necessary for the pilot.
On the battlefield, the Myrmidon is an overall more powerful combatant than the Skaborr super soldier with its superior firepower, strength, and armor.
The Myrmidon is typically deployed as part of a fireteam. The two soldiers pictured are part of the elite U.N.E. biochemical warfare division, who are immune to neurological attacks.
I for one like the dog-leg design, and it's not often that you see it used on hardsuits. It certainly looks very large and intimidating, but it also possesses a cumbersome air; I'd say this 'genre' of gorrila-like hardsuits would only be suited (pun not intended) for dense, vicious urban warfare. After all, in an open field encounter, it's not armour that counts, but speed. In urban combat, armour is paramount, followed closely by big guns. Both of which this possesses.
Well done! I'm not all together too sure about those shin guards but the rest is all good. I really like those feet too! Ok I'm not going to gush on and on about it I'll just leave it at this, awesome.
So superior to any Skaborr, or any COP super soldier. I fear that this might turn into a hardsuit arms race or something, and eventually have 50 foot tall super soldiers in hardsuits the size of a Warhound Titan..
This is great! I didn't expect anything from you recently since the announcement of your tank project, but this is very well done. It's quite compact and definitely looks substantial and heavy. The weapon is nice too, I'm a P90 fan myself. Fantastic work!
That's some excellent work you have there. It looks powerful and I love it's stocky stance. As usual great work on the color scheme and the details. I feel bad now, cause you make better UNE stuff than me. :(
Holy cow!!! I'm E.O.S. but this thing would put up a good fight against a Skaborr. This has the size advantage, but it looks like a Skaborr has a maneuverability advantage. So all in all this is an amazingly detailed hard suit. 5 smilies :)

[Rolling eyes] Of coarse you would make a weak Skaborr and basicly unarmed. But it is still a very nice moc!!! I would have covered the head a little more because it could get sniped easily. Anyway great work man!!!
Hey, I gave the Skaborr a gun, but the Myrmidon shot the arm off. The Myrmidon and Skaborr are hardsuits, not mechs, the head is usually the weak spot.

One step of my MARK VI and it would be...lets not start about that, since the two mechs are in absolutly different themes. However now to the MOC: This little things are showing your true skilly again, the details is amazing, but thats not the part which impressed me. The colorsheme was it, the way you made the U.N.E. colorsheme with grey, bley and red, the way you placed and added it, thats the best part. P.S.: I got one question, why don´t you make some DF stuff or a Diorama, I want to see what you can do in such building themes.
Thanks. I like DF, but I don't think I could build well in that theme.
