Hi. I'm professor Scientifik and I work at NXT Mechanics University. This is an NXT model I built and that I often use to teach the students about quadruped animal robots. It uses three motors; one to turn the head right/left and the others for powering each pair of legs. It can turn right/left, walk front/back and turn it's head right/left. It uses all four sensors; touch, light, sound and ultrasonic. The programming is the only limit! Look up "TurtleSaur" on NXTLOG for more information.

Very Nice Turtle!!! I like it when people built animals with their NXT. Tip:If you want to add a video you can put it on Youtube. Than you have to copy the youtube link in your HTML-text on mocpages. It would be very great if you add a video. Hupie Vuurzoon

Quoting Brady G Awesome! I'm actually commenting because I'd like to ask a favor of you. We're building with NXT in a class at school and have challenged another student to a contest to see who can create the best moving part for our bot. We're using the basic bot that is built with the NXT education set, and need to make something in place of the "whacker" on the right side. I've come up with a few moving spinning blades, a few hammers and axes, but nothing of any compatability to the bot. Can you reccomend any tecniques, or even give me a basic design to use? Well, MOCpages will delete this if it gets too long, so tata!
Can you precise the robot's name so I can look it up on Google. I can't really understand what you mean by "whacker". Anyways, i'll try to help you. Simply tell me its name and I should be able to look up images on Google. Nice school man! People in my class have never heard of Mindstorms.
