I started building the HMS Prince of Wales, a 4th rate ship of the line, on the 1st of November 2008. Now, almost 6 months later the project is finally finished. The ship is build on 7 standard mid hull sections and has around 160 meters of rope for the rigging.
Special thanks to Captain Green Hair for his very valuable advise, assistance and donating the cloth for the sails. Also thanks to Errorist for helping out with the stern during our building session in Amsterdam with CHG and some of the rigging. Thanks to HMS243 for the idea to build little toilets in the stern and to Zorro for helping us sort some bricks during the building session in Belgium.
Now I'll shut up and let the pictures speak. Comments are welcome.
Wow! I like the two gun decks, I think you have done well as it is quite tricky to get the height right when using the boat modules, might I suggest a detachment of Royal Marines on deck to keep Jack in order !
I like it

Fantastic all round, tons of lattice windows make it very elaborate !!>>....well done
this is amazing! how many mid-sections has the pirate ship lego set? (just for comparison?)
i bet this beauty would tear the official set into chippings in side by side battle... =P
truly an awesome job!
Nice stairs..and rigging.I have to say though the minifigures you do hav eon the ship are sweet, like the admiral, but you need a lot more. The only other thing is cannons...those hatches are closed for a reason im guessing...lol, if you really have cannons under there then wow..thats a a lot of firepower! great work
