A grand piano with a stool. Pretty much self-explanatory.
About this creation
The lid, which I adapted so it would look more smooth.
The pedals. I added the strings connecting the pedals to the rest of the piano.
The bar lowers so that the lid can close:
The keys. I assembled these by laying a LOT of flat 2x1s on their sides. You can also see the foot-pedals. This is an old picture; the pedals have actually been changed, because people told me they were foo fat:
Inside the grand piano, filled with strings and cross-beams:
The lid opens here, too, allowing one to keep music inside:
A final shot:
By the way, this took a lot longer than I expected, since near completion, my friend David Linkon stepped on it. I'm rather proud of its revival, so please don't burst my bubble.
Wow this is quite impressive! Thanks for the share. Usually I roll my eyes when I get a "check out my mocs plz!!" but I definitely prefer your method of direct linking to a MOC. Also, thanks for the generous comment.
It's odd that I haven't commented on this yet because I personally love to play the piano (I've been doing it since I was 4). As far as video game music goes I know the Mario theme, I've remixed the Kraid theme to Metroid, and incorporated almost every well known melody from the 3-d Legend of Zeldas into a single, trance song. Just thought you'd be interested to know that. Honestly, I've seen a lot of different Piano's made of legos, but this is probably the best one I've seen. Great shape (especially with the lid and that tricky side section) and lovely details (like the opening stool and the pedals. If this were a set I'd buy it. Keep on building ~ Nowhereman
Awesome....Me being a piano player myself would probly make me think it's even better then others might. I would have used your design to make one of my own with credit to you.....but I don't have that many of thoes white pieces for the keys. If I tried with what I had, all the keys would be different colors. Maby I could try the stool though. Exelent job. Easy 5/5.
