This is my narrow gauge Hunslet Flameproof locomotive. It is based on an example preserved at Explosion! the museum of naval firepower at Priddy's Hard in Gosport, Hampshire, UK. It was formerly part of the rolling stock at the Royal Naval Armaments Depot Dean Hill, which has since closed. The Hunslet was used to move ammunition around the Depot; between the bunkers, laboratories and road/main-line-rail loading sheds. It is called a flameproof loco because every measure is taken to prevent sparks or flames being produced which might cause an explosion, as these locos worked hauling ammunition and explosives of all sorts.
The loco, in reality, has an exposed chassis and large driving wheels (0-4-0) but train wheels of the appropriate size do not exist in Lego so I created a skirt which hides the Lego train motor that the body of the model actually runs on.
